Thanks for the reply, we have been recommended the Beatles Cirque show but we don't really mind, just want to see a really good one, date wise it has to be one of three nights (4/5/6 May)

there are a couple of offers for Love here that may work for you.

    http://www.smartervegas.com/shows/love_cirque_du_soleil/ticketsdiscounts.aspx

It's a great show, we think...and being close to the front is not better. we have seen the show from the first row and from the last row and if given the choice we would go with the latter - you miss too much if you are too close.

It is only one one of your dates, though.

Since you are only in town for a short time, if I could get a good deal booking in advance I would likely just do that. But you may get a good deal at tix4tonight, etc.

Which would you choose - TI or Bally's?

We're in LV for just 2 nights in April.
Bally's - £57 total (+ resort fees), includes 'continental breakfast'
    TI - £69 total (+resort fees), inc. 2 for 1 cocktail, show & buffet*
I booked TI on half price last week and thought it may be a bit swisher... but I'm thinking now the position of Bally's is still better.

Kind of tough one, I think...

We have stayed at both several times...Bally's rooms are bigger, so big we found it difficult to stay other places once we got used to them. TI rooms all have refrigerators. Bally's resort fee includes internet access for one device (unless they have changed something), TI is two devices. To us, Bally's location is slightly better but TI is good too. TI has a nicer pool area, Bally's pool has a deep end. TI has a more interesting casino area and better dining options on site, but it's Vegas and you can't swing a cat without hitting a casino or a restaurant and there are plenty of options near Bally's.

We have stayed at Bally's at least 10 times and TI at least 5...having discussed it with my husband we have both come down on the side of TI - assuming standard room at each. Some of that is we are kind of tired of Bally's...though we'll be there in less than two weeks again. :)

I would not consider TI in any way 'swish' though...it's pretty middle of the road, comfortable, we think...one of the reasons we feel at home there.

Thanks ferf - I was almost ready to cancel TI last night but I'm having second thoughts now. I think I see TI as more upmarket than Ballys as the room was in the half price sale so I felt like I was getting a better class hotel for less, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't feel very comfortable in one of the the very posh hotels though - we are definitely cheap'n'cheerful people!

I liked TI, but have never stayed at Bally's. TI's pool is a bit different from most others. I found it more of a relaxing pool than a swimming pool if that makes sense. More like getting in a big jacuzzi. I don't think I actually swam in it.

I like the location for Fashion Show Mall, so it would be handy if you want to shop. Mystere is a good show if that's what's on the deal. I like the location also because of Venetian, Wynn etc. I'm quite partial to Wynn buffet.

I wouldn't rule Bally's out, but have always thought their rooms look a bit tired. Again great location as you have most of the strip within walking distance in about 30 mins from there.

2 great options, and good prices too, if it were me I'd stick with TI, but it's quite a close one so either would be good. Just go with what you think from pictures and location.

We've got free tickets to Love through myVegas - we'd originally booked Zarkana tickets but read the reviews and changed our minds!

There are tickets from $60 on the Mirage site -
    http://www.mirage.com/entertainment/special-offer-love.aspx

so it may be worth comparing them with the other specially offers once tax/fees are added.

Thanks ferf for the info on seating - our freebies are near the back so it's good to hear that all the seats are good ones. We were in the 2nd row when we saw KA and it was spectacular. If it hadn't been for the accident I think I would have liked to go again and get tickets further back to get a different perspective.

    Cheers for info all :)
Best I checkup with R Petty driving, as the GT350 is auto, and I like my manual gears!!! :) Has to be the GT 500, as GT350 will be like driving the Challenger....
But you only change up to 2nd once, the rest of the time you are in first.
But saying that the 500 does a good second and a half better than the other cars on the 0-60, the 350 still faster than the Challanger
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I emailed them last night to ask if they are fazing out the GT500 totally, and fazing out by June....
GT500 has a lot of horses, and the torque to go with it, where as the GT350 is toned down :(
Although 3rd gear only on the straight ??? I was planning on hitting at least 120mph on that straight you get!!! need at least 4th! :D
I got 135 on the straight, and believe me you don't need to get out of second, the car was geared so that you only needed second.
I have a 300c and by remapping it I can change the gearing ratios quite dramatically, and it's an automatic

I really would have thought Bally's and TI would be similar in terms of pricing...TI maybe a little bit more. Interesting.

TI also has not one but TWO Starbucks. And a Ben and Jerry's.

For our trip shortly we're staying in the South Tower of Bally's for the first time since our very first one-night stay there for NYE maybe 2005 or so...will be interesting to see how the new rooms are - already pleased to have a refrigerator (the new rooms all have them, allegedly, the North Tower doesn't). I am a bit concerned about the new shopping thing out front, how annoying it will be...but if it is really annoying we can just come in another way. :)

TI has an outlet with Krispy Kreme's as well...however I don't know if that should be a draw (as I love them!) or a reason to stay away (as I'd eat too many!).
