  • I guess we just had different experiences - maybe the maid just had a really heavy knock.

I hope my comments would not put anyone off as the noise was only minor. If I was not on a tight budget for the start of my holiday (really penny pinching) I would definitely stay there again.

Then I'm thinking is 4 nights too much for Vegas considering you see one Casino you seen them all, if that makes sense. Was thinking 3 nights.

Since I am not a Sun person, any ideas what dates/month to avoid?

There's a lot more to see than just the casino floors even in the properties themselves, and ignoring the other things to see and do on the strip - heading out in a hire car for a short drive there's loads more than that...how long is right for one person will be really different for another...it just depends on what you are interested in. If someone isn't sure if they will like the place then I should imagine 3-4 nights would be enough of a taster.

It's sunny most of the time in Vegas, but if you want to avoid the really hot months then Jun-Aug will be out...May & September may be borderline. April and October are generally perfect for us but other than the summer months we'll go anytime if it means a trip to Vegas.

  • ferf1223 who would you describe April in general. I am looking at the last 2 weeks of April. We normally go mid to late May - for us it has always been great round the pool, but a little too hot when walking a decent distance.

Just wondering how long is best/average?

At first I was thinking 4 nights - Monday to Thursday to avoid weekend prices.

Every casino is different, with different dining and entertainment options in each one. There is a lot to do in Las Vegas besides gambling. It could take you a day or two to look round all the free stuff properly without doing anything else. But then, I love it there, the longer the better for me.

Sorry for another question, but can someone tell me the cheap way of calling myVegas.

I use Skype to call to redeem, think it's free or very cheap (i haven't checked my Skype balance)

Are you a member of any of the Facebook groups for myvegas? Some reporting very long waiting times to redeem due to people calling about the boxing.

Sorry I misunderstood your consecutive part of the question!

ferf1223 who would you describe April in general. I am looking at the last 2 weeks of April. We normally go mid to late May - for us it has always been great round the pool, but a little too hot when walking a decent distance.

When we have been in April it's been perfect for us - mid to high 20s, occasionally in the low 30s and lows in the teens. But we don't like it hot - we like to know we are not in England, but the two times we went in the summer (in June) it wasn't enjoyable for us. We were fine in the casinos but like you say, any distance walking was just not our thing.

  • I am a member of several Facebook myVegas groups. I have not been reading them, except to collect chips. I will probably be calling sometime next week, so hopefully it will have settled down a little.
  • I'm looking to head out to Vegas in May for the big boxing match but I'm worried about the cancellation of flights due to the nature of my visit.

Tickets will be hard to get and the fight may get postponed due to injury, could anybody give me some advice on flights that allow refundable cancellations?
  • I used an 0161 number to call MyVegas. Someone gave me it on the closed group called MyVegas Friends. I seem to remember when they gave me it I wanted to check it was true and a piece on HotUKDeals came up. I believe this is it. 0161 311 3111. Seems legit. Might also be useful to some others who call the US to book tickets, hotels or anything else.
