Would you want to rent a car and explore any of the surrounding area?

  • Been playing MyVegas daily, but with nothing booked I have not kept up with the forums etc.

Can you still book rooms such as : 2 x bonus rooms on 1 account, 1 x room on 1 account + 1 x room on partner account, 1 x room on 1 account + 1 x room on partner account + bonus rooms on 1 account. I know we did it last year, but the word consecutive in their terms is throwing me.
  • Thomas Cook have 2016 flights on their site - might appeal to someone (like myself) who has a big birthday next year and wants to celebrate it in LV.

Lol reading that I'm confused too!

You can book the bonus room and a single room comp on one account - they are treated as seperate rewards and have different redemption dates.
You can also use your partners account to book and link the stays when you redeem
  • Cheers vanilla8 for the reply. I did not write that very clearly, probably should have put each scenario on a different line. It is simply the word 'consecutive' that I am questionning.

Thinking about Luxor via MyVegas or Downtown Grand (stupidly cheap).

I'm a bit struggling to work it out, but I know that when I asked about consecutive nights I was told by Luxor that if someone manages to redeem 2 bonus comp nights they'll let them have them. I ended up booking 1 bonus comp on my account, 1 bonus comp on my husband's and the midweek regular comp on my account. It turns out my 2 nights are consecutive but one is bonus and one isn't, and that's the way she put them through knowing she could have used my husband's redemption in the middle to make it non consecutive. So no issue there.

Another way to get more nights, and also save on the number of redemptions could be to buy one of the reduced price room rates, as I think one redemption can cover several nights. Check the options for your dates then call MyVegas and get put through to the correct hotel to make sure they can allow the booking if you were to redeem.

Just wondering how long is best/average?

At first I was thinking 4 nights - Monday to Thursday to avoid weekend prices.

Then I'm thinking is 4 nights too much for Vegas considering you see one Casino you seen them all, if that makes sense. Was thinking 3 nights.

Since I am not a Sun person, any ideas what dates/month to avoid?

Are you just passing through? If not, 3 nights seems a long way to fly if you're not interested in looking thru casinos and not interested in sunshine :)

    How come you're going? :)

(Ps. I would argue that it's not the case of seen one casino, seen them all but I guess that could be my slant on things from having been before)
  • Thanks for the information. Going to spend the weekend reading up, and hopefully booking everything this weekend. Holiday will probably be 2 or 3 nights LV, 4 or 5 nights SF, and 7 nights back in LV.

Sorry for another question, but can someone tell me the cheap way of calling myVegas.
  • Regarding Orleans, it is a great hotel for the $.

    Pros :
Rooms are nicely decorated, and provide loads of space.
    The buffet is excellent value.
I really like the pool area.
The atmosphere of the place (not just the casino) is really friendly.

    Cons :
The bed is near the door and so you get some corridor noise. Every morning about 8 am we could hear house keeping knocking on doors.
The bathroom, compared to the rest of the room, is just not up to the same standard.
Shuttle bus was always packed going back evening / night, and there was always people pushing in. Just get a taxi back.

Signature is our main hotel, but Orleans is somewhere I always check as a alternative when Signature is expensive.

Odd I've stayed at the Orleans about ten times and have never heard any corridor noise ......For me it's one of the pluses.

After our first stay I've always asked for and got the "newer" tower (right at the lift not left) not sure if that's why our experiences are so different ?
