Station casinos are a partner though so shouldn't come out of the 3/4 max .....I think (but may have their own max within it)
No, they definitely don't come out of the 3/4 max. That is just the MGM/Mirage rewards. You can check by partner. All the partners have their own limits.

We stayed at Super 8 Brooklyn - http://www.super8.com/hotels/new-york/brooklyn/super-8-brooklyn-park-slope-hotel/hotel-overview - checking on google maps it looks similar distance to the Subway as from the Holiday Inn Express mentioned above, and to be honest we stayed there for much the same reasons as ajdj.

We liked it as it had big rooms (and a fridge in every room), free breakfast (FWIW), free wifi etc :) - few years since we stayed there, but it was fairly cheap at the time too (and new) :) a really good base!

... and to keep me on-topic, here's a pic of Vegas from our trip a few weeks ago :) - there are no prizes for guessing where it was taken from I'm afraid!!! :):D:D

Now then, would you consider that a "strip view"? I would but Tracy is adamant that because you can't see the physical road "The Strip" it's nothing of the sort. So they shouldn't advertise the suites on that side as being Strip View rooms.

    I know, me too:wall::wall::wall:

I think it's a strip view. We go next Friday, but don't get to Platinum until the following Friday (4th) and we're expecting to have just that view. :)

personally I would say it wasn't a strip view and I kind of think being on the strip counts.
However, I don't expect a mountain view to be at the foot of the mountain....

End of the day who cares...... its still Vegas :)

I like the 'strip view' better, however others in our group a few years ago had a view out the other side. They pointed out that they could sit out on the balcony with a newspaper in the sun in the morning...before the sun was on the pool. Could be quite good. I still like the 'strip view' though. :)

    Is it September you're going?

We get there on the 8th, and I think pebbles gets there on the 21st.
We always have a mountain view room, get the sun in the morning and it's quieter, as well as being able to see the airport!

Never had the view out to the East but never been bothered by noise either. I imagine it could be good in the morning to pop out and sit in the sun if you're up and about waiting for sun at the pool (around 11am in September).

Out of curiosity Stoneman - have you ever jogged up Howard Hughes? I planned to do it in the past but never got around to it. Looks like it could be quiet and shaded, and a good stretch of pavement without having to cross busy roads.

thanks for the pic nvh, I may be one of the few maybe only one whom may not know where is this pic is taken from, maybe the linq? though i would not gamble anything on it being right, but i like the pic anyhow!

Gee im so jealous of how many people are going in the next few weeks!

do alot of people go to vegas a couple of times a year?

Being a bit *tight* with money im more of a saver and sorta save things up, and dont use credit cards or anything and have done vegas once a year for the last couple of years
Hope everyone whom has a trip planned will have a fab time and i look forward to seeing a few trip reports and maybe a few pics!:D
