May i ask if you , prehaps like me are planning your trip to vegas next year(IF you are planning a holiday and to vegas next year)

Is it ever too soon to look at next years holidays?
at the minute im just looking at different ideas, multi cities n stuff and toying with ideas/prices.

what is everyoens experinces? book mega early/ last minute? half and half?

for this years trip(june 4th to 18th) we book back in august 2014 after coming back from vegas and just loving the trip.

that suited me cos i could pay the holiday up in installements and from xmas to june anything i got was spending money.

any advice most welcoemd, Im so jealous of people whom have there holidays in the next few weeks,/next few months:o

No, I haven't done this but I think Vegas would be the best place to go on your own, provided you are staying somewhere on the strip or with a shuttle so you get back to your room safely. I wouldn't want to be walking off strip in the dark alone.

You mention clubs/bars, which isn't something I would tend to do on my own either. Perhaps if you play slots and have drinks there if you don't want to sit in a bar alone? That one maybe depends if you're male of female, I think guys would usually quite happily go to a bar themselves, whereas women would often think twice about it. If you feel comfortable though why not.

Thanks Lesley, I'm in PH for the first 3 nights, then Westgate to relax for the last 3.

I haven't been to Vegas in a couple of years and I can't remember if there are many people going to shows, etc. I would LOVE to see Britney, but again, maybe not alone.

I wont start planning my Vegas trip for next year until late this year, or early next.....
My hit points are like this:
Direct flight London/Manc to Vegas = £600 or less = BOOK Asap.
Indirect from Lon/Manc to Vegas = £500 or less = Book Asap
Direct from London to LAX = £420 or less = Book Asap.

    That's based on 10 - 14 nights in June/July next year....
Failing that, I will book whenever seems right..... Hotels come next, as i'll try and get most nights free :)
This years 11 night trip cost us total £565 each, for Mirage, Lux and Monte... I need to beat that next year!

ok thanx very much for the info!!
The last 2 trips we have went for a package holiday, flights and hotel together .I read the first pages(2014 and 2015) which says sometimes its cheaper to do one of the other, but we were both keen to book up asap so we did not look around too much, though for this years holiday we saved £120 each vs thomas cook so i guess that was a saving !!

May i ask how you get the nightrs free?
    myvegas?
    Mlife card?

I was annoyed having searched the Mlife website in and around late april , only to find i could have got 3 nights comped!,my brother who prob gambled and lost more than me, maybe would have got similar , so there is 6 nights free(exluding resort fees)
Again thanx for the info it is very appreicaited.I ve been back since the 18th and wanna go again!! so im sorta looking around just now, but not sure what would be best.
Thank you again and best of luck!!

Hi all. My partner and I are visiting Vegas for 3 nights as part of a California holiday in September. We have a plane tour organised to the Grand Canyon, Penn and Teller tickets plus we plan to drive out to the Dam.

I have yet to book a car but have a booking for the Luxor for 3 nights for $371 USD inc resort fee for 4 of us (2 kids). They are typically all charging $30 per person per night for additional occupants over 2 people so I'm happy with the above rate. This has free cancellation though should we find anything better.

Anyone seen any better deals on a room in a themed hotel? We've tried many many different sites which start off at like $40 but end up at over $150 with all the fees and taxes.

My partner is also on to the myvegas thing. We haven't used it before but I see a lot of people here getting free rooms with it. Does it take a lot of points to get something like free rooms?

Would it work for a room with 4 occupants? Any strategies?

We got a free midweek luxor night for (I think) 18,000 lp's. You then pay resort fees.
Get him to login to the game and look at rewards, you can list them by category so will be able to see your options.
I would imagine the t's and c's will specify occupancy rules, and blackout dates.

How old are the kids? We normally just book a queen room and just say 2 adults. Never had a problem before. Mine will be 10 and 7 when we go in a few weeks. Might make a difference to the price.

    Yay
Happened to mention a version of the Euro fare I posted to the OH yesterday so we;re now in planning mode

    April 16
SFO 2 or 3nights (Frisco is on his bucket list so Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz)
Yosemite (more Glamp than camp I think) 2nights
Vegas Probably a week -he isn't a fan of glossy hotels so I'm thinking Orleans or Tuscany. Canyon probably and definitely the Hoover Dam
    then onto
SNA to fly home - Day at Disneyland -maybe a pool day as well (He isn''t fussed about seeing LA itself fortunately and DL is for me)

Airfares including placement flight £300 pp
Carhire guess I need to check page 1 for one with no one way charge - prepay eveything and free additional driver ;)

Really need advice on Yosemite as never been and OH is a stresser so want it all planned out as otherwise he'll drive me nuts (His first US adventure so don't want to put him off lol -If I say we are just going to point the car and see where we end up he'll flip)

So from a Vegas drought I now have two trips there in eight months in planning :D
