The direct Man-Las route with Virgin only operates between the end of March and the end of October.

Thanks folks, found it. I don't frequent this thread as Vegas is my idea of hell, but it is handy for some good national parks.

I maybe shouldn't post this,as it's influenced by a late night of alcohol.
But I find it a bit ironic that you come on a Vegas forum...where we all love the place, and ask for advice, while slagging the place off as a holiday from Hell.
Most of the good people on here are probably too nice to be offended by your comments.....and to be fair you don't have to " Love" Vegas like the rest of us,but is there really a need to even make the comment that Vegas is your idea of hell....When this forum is frequented by people that love the place.

As I say...it's gone four in the morning here in Keswick, and my wife and I have had a nice evening out..and a drink or two.

if you want advice, then that's fine....but the " holiday hell" comment isn't needed.

As I say....this reply is a little bit fuelled by alcohol.....and I may well remove it if I feel it's out of order in the morning.

But I would never go on a holiday forum and tell the people on there that their particular choice of holiday destination is the pits.

I apologise to all regular forum users if you think I am out of order.

And as I say....my comments are clouded by a late night out in town.

I understand that Vegas isn't for everyone and I know people that have been and wouldn't go again but have you actually been yourself???
If that is hell the afterlife is looking mighty fine to me!!!;)

    Nicely put

I thought it was breathtakingly rude of EssexExile.
Mind you Essex is my idea of hell- all those orange TOWIE people - good airports though presumably so people can flee Essex faster ;)

    I love a good generalization :D

I always thought I'd hate Vegas until I went and saw it was very different to what I expected.

You do make me laugh! Yes I've been there, I don't like it but lots of people do, I have no problem with that. I love Keswick though, I'm there at least once a year. Perhaps I should give Brats a wide berth though.
By the way Duchy, Essex is my idea of hell too. That's why I live in Staffordshire.

    hi there

Have you looked at the first page of the thread? there are a few websites on there that may help you.Not an expert here so i guess im gonna offer the basic advice(hope it helps)

Have you (and maybe a partner.a friend.someone your going with?) started playing Myvegas the facebook game?

Thank you for your reply bobbyhibs.
I did check the hotel offer pages, most only go up to the end of 2015 and the rates offered do not seem in our range. For example, in order to beat the 3rd party sites it seems rooms would need to be less than approx. $30/night which I am not seeing. Maybe my maths if off.

We have already started working on myvegas, but and it seems we need to get quite a lot of points to get any decent rooms and even then would not cover the whole trip so would prefer to use on the 'experiences' side and were more planning to use for buffets/shows etc. where possible.

Thanks again for replying! Happy travels to all those planning or already going/gone.

No worries just thought I'd try help.

On the first page of the thread, there are some hotel, flight sites (on the first page of the thread) maybe if you try usuing them it may be of benefit to you?
I can see what you are saying with regards myvegas rooms and there points, Though i think there were gaureneteed rates(rates which may or may not be good though), though you had to buy the rates, e.g it would count as a purchace.
there were some rewards if i recall rewards witch
had like 25% off rates, which also may help
good luck and all the best in your planning
