Thanks I'll look into the Go San Diego card. How did you get the extra discount on groupon?
We are driving to Vegas but before we get there we have stops in Palm springs, 29 palms and Laughlin.

The groupon discount comes on from time to time and is displayed on their main page. I usually get an email when there's offers on. Just checked my email, last offer was 28th April. If I notice an offer coming through I'll post it on here. Might not notice just now though with being away. Others can maybe do the same. I always look out for a %off deail before buying groupons. We got a couple of hotel deals on there as well (the one we're in just now, and also got Green Valley Ranch at a fab price for September).

Are you staying overnight at Palm Springs and Laughlin? If you have time at Laughlin look up Oatman as it's quite near and it's a fun place to visit.

Thanks I'll keep an eye out for it. We have 3 nights in Palm springs and 3 in Laughlin. Will have a look at Oatman to.
  • Long time reader but first time poster. Hello everyone! In Vegas at the moment and looking for somewhere to view the league 1 playoffs on Sky Sports (Swindon v Sheffield United). Does anyone know of any places? We had planned on visiting the Crown and Anchor but have just called them and they are not showing it.

Could try calling McMullins irish Pub to see if they have it. I'd say you'd be lucky to find it on. If you've a laptop you may be best watching on a stream.

Has NYNY still got a sports bar?

We have watched (2nd round!) FA cup games in our room before so you're in with a shout on-strip definitely.

There's also a sports bar up at Palazzo isn't there?

Edit: looks like it's on "beIN sports connect" if people you speak to / bars etc want to know what channel it's on. Good luck, and please let us know how you get on!!

I personally wouldn't go for the V8 Mustang GT, as I heard they are restricted to 80mph....
The Penske GT model doesn't have that restriction, although its not easy nor cheap to get that model!

I need to check that out. If true I'll be changing my car!

    hi

Has anyone ever asked for a spercific room before?
My brother and I went to vegas last year and are going back shortly(staying at the mgm grand again :D)
Just last year we loved the room we had, the location and the easy access from the lifts(or the elevators as the yanks call them,).Just my brother has said he ll get a few drinks pasted tipsy and will need a hand back to the room.
    (im tee total though honest!!)

Its NOT an upgrade we are after though, we just would love a room pretty much where our room last year was.
We have booked a double queen room(2 queen sized room)
Sorry if the question is a bit *out there* but if anyone has been in a similar postion and can offer any advice we d be grateful.
thanks in advance and for reading

I went through a phase of getting the exact same room three times running without asking at the Orleans (which admittedly is a lot smaller ). Good thing I liked that room

Just ask nicely at check in -or send the hotel an email about a week before asking. No guarantees but worth a try ( although who knows you might get a room you like even more)

We often ask for a specific room number if it's one we liked previously. We have had varying results, but most places will try to accommodate you so long as it's not a busy weekend night when you arrive. This trip, Tuscany couldn't give us the room we wanted on the day of arrival, but could move us the following day. PH gave us the room next door to the one requested, which was fine with us.
