I'm excited, not got our dollars yet, we fly to DC on Saturday for a week, using our 2for1 voucher for first class on BA, then hit Vegas a week later on memorial weekend. I seem to remember someone saying they got some good shopping deals last memorial weekend? Its our wedding anniversary on the 24th and not sure if the hubby would allow me to hit the shops that day and I have booked a cabana by the pool for the 25th. Do the deals hang around for the days after memorial weekend??
hey Vanilla, keep getting tempted towards the 2-for-1 but disuaded by availability... how did you find it (obviously you're pre-devaluation but i'd still like to know)... :)

You do know that free rooms in Vegas aren't that hard to get ? You have read page 1 right ? :) One word for you Myvegas .

Even if you aren't a ducker and diver like our Stuie ;) comps aren't difficult if you know where to look !

being a scot here i started on page 2!!(joke !)

I know of myvegas and play pretty much every day, Though the comp rooms seem expensive(well a heck of alot of lp's) though to be fair i haven't looked at many of the comp rooms(maybe just the mgm ,but will look at others!).
Now comps on the other hand well i admit i am a lil lost here, though i have asked bout them before on here and it seems its a hit and miss and mostly(i think so ) depends on how much you have gambled, though stuie if i recall is a bit lucky and didn't spend THAT much on gambling(sorry if untrue)
If i may ask where do you and other people look for comps?
any advice most welcomed.I do have myvegas and i have set up the Mlife card online,Unsure if it helps.

Yes we were limited with availability, hubby gets given his leave periods so we were also restricted with our dates. Bearing in mind this was November when we were told hubby's dates - so 7 months before travel.
There was loads of availability to Washington (on A380 as well) and we booked return from Boston for three weeks later.
Our original plan was to tour east coast but hubby wanted to go back to Vegas :j so we ended up using 80k of Virgin miles each for the internal virgin america first class flights from DC to Vegas (Via SFO) After we have a week in Vegas we are heading to Florida for a few days - we managed to get availability to return from Orlando in Club World, it cost us £35 change fee each and we got a refund on some of the taxes and miles (as we were booked in First from Boston)

All in all a good experience, and i am £600 shy of earning abother 2 for 1 voucher, trying to delay its activation as we are not sure when we will use it.

End June 2015 - UK to New York for £599 return, plus an internal flight to Vegas anyone? Oh did I forget to mention you get 8 (?) days full board on the QM2 as well in a balcony cabin :)

At Luxor now in our free MyVegas pyramid room for 3 nights. The room is actually fine, pleasantly surprised.

Went to Stir (at the Platinum) 'happy hour' with Pebbles and Tony last night. I say 'happy hour' as we sat and had our drinks etc assuming it was happy hour then went for the bill and Pebbles was first to discover they no longer have happy hour!!! We managed to get our discount but can't be good for them for business. We were on the verge of booking 8 nights there in September but hadn't finalised it yet. It's disappointing! Can't be good for the bar staff either.

Did Aria buffet (also MyVegas) last night after Stir. Buffet was decent, and we had the free buffet deal. We paid for a drink upgrade at 12.99 plus tax Went in around 9pm or shortly after so didn't have much time to make the most of it. We'd had drinks already though and still jetlagged/tired we knew we'd struggle. I had prosecco which didn't taste very good, and it was in a small tumbler like the coke etc comes in. Hubby had heineken. I only managed 2 and had to dump half of the second one in the casino. Probably shouldn't have bothered, but as the buffet was free we just decided to.

Walked back via Monte Carlo walkway, absolutely shattered but unfortunately have woke up early again today but not as early as the other days!

Yesterday was a tough day, I was tired and found the drive from San Diego hard going. Got stuck in traffic on the I-15 on the outskirts of LA, so it slowed us down quite a bit.

Not sure of our plans today, one option could be to go out to Red Rock for breakfast (quite soon as it's nearly 7am and I like going when it's still quiet). Although I want to see the new shops out there so not quite sure how to do both. We have a Bellagio lunch on MyVegas as well, which needs to be today or tomorrow. Then MGM breakfast which could be today, tomorrow or Friday. Decisions decisions...

My gambling bank roll was $250 a day (5 night stay) for our trip last March. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/65040576#Comment_65040576

Checked our MLife accounts for offers before booking rooms for this trip and we had a 3 night comp offer for most hotels. Also just checked again and there is another offer added again.
