NO HAPPY HOUR???!

My thoughts exactly. Mind we never really used it, only a couple of times during a visit. Usually to meet up with MSE members lol.
Lesley you did well to get them to give you the discount:TThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Always enjoyed it for having a quick drink pre-hitting the strip... and sometimes we'd just end up staying there if we felt lazy
Be interested to see if they change tack - seemed logical pricing to try to either lure people out of their rooms for a drink, or dissuade them from hitting the strip so quickly0 -
thanx for the reply vanilla8.I think for our last trip(a week in july 2014 ) and from my Mlife statement i LOST something like $700.
I have checked the Mlife thing and i see i guess offers for discounted rooms n what not and discounted enterment but no comp rooms !
hopefully this time nextt year we may be a in bit better postion:D0 -
Yes, happy hour disappearing is a bit shocking. The bar girl even said they hope it may be temporary. They had free appetisers instead, which consisted of god knows what as no-one could tell us what they actually were (there were 2 mystery items). Kevin took one that looked like a samosa with spinach in it. Rest of us never had any.
Pebbles went to the bar for the bill first so I think she did the talking regarding it. Kevin had went up for ours, with my c/card - but he got the discount too. Bit of a shame as we're staying at Tuscany next Sunday and Monday and would have gone in. Now unlikely. Also making me wonder if we'll stay there in September...not that we stay just for happy hour but if we like Tuscany we might just stay there instead as it's a lot cheaper. We saw Pebbles' room and it was nice!
I'll need to post something on their facebook about happy hour.0 -
hey Vanilla, keep getting tempted towards the 2-for-1 but disuaded by availability... how did you find it (obviously you're pre-devaluation but i'd still like to know)...
We've done 2-4-1 on flights. The key is to book early, be flexible on dates, be flexible on holiday length and flexible on destination airport. Also look at different classes. Also look for open jaw. And keep looking.
We went Summer 2013. Ended up booking over the phone as the agent could see some different availability than us, confusingly. We ended up with a 16 night stay, outbound Heathrow to Huston and return Vegas to Heathrow. All in business class. Total cost was £800 plus a shedload of avios. We then booked a cheap internal flight on United.
Post devaluation, there is a promise of at least 2 business class reward seats on every long haul. So availability should open up.
(I know £800 sounds a lot for 2 reward flights, but you would be pushed to get cheaper flights for cash and for us the holiday starts when we enter the airport lounge.)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My gambling bank roll was $250 a day (5 night stay) for our trip last March. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/65040576#Comment_65040576
Checked our MLife accounts for offers before booking rooms for this trip and we had a 3 night comp offer for most hotels. Also just checked again and there is another offer added again.
Hi there and thanx for a response.
depending on how you view it, i re checked the Mlife page (logged in) and it seems i have 3 days comp rooms.though i ve already booked up for this year:(
A few questions about comp rooms(from Mlife mostly)
are they limited as in like 1 offer per year?
is there time limits? for example could i maybe use the current offers for next year?
I think i read somehwere with alot of comp rooms you pay resort fees,is this right?
My brother and I have the m life cards(he s not sorta signed on online yet) though i have, if we BOTH got the 3 night room comps,(making 6 nights) could we combine BOTH and then pay a *normal* nights rate.
Thanks for reading and sorry if the questiosn i have asked are silly, I ve never got a comp night or anything , anytihng to save money thats me!:p0 -
There are time limits on the offers but they do seem to keep on coming. We were last in Vegas in 2013 but our offers still refresh each season and between the two of us we've got 7 comped nights booked for our trip this summer"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I have a few TR questions that I'm hoping someone will be able to answer.
Do the videos refresh every 30 days like the shares do?
I've tried to connect my brand new Instagram account but it's coming back with 'the access token is invalid' or something. Any ideas?

Easiest way is to open a new twitter account (different email address and twitter handle) and use that just for this sort of thing. You can get apps or sites that manage which twitter handle you use for what - if you want to get complicated.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
