Las Vegas guide and MSE thread 2015

Have arrived in slightly chilly San Diego last night. Dreaded jetlag has had me awake since before 3am. Only went to bed at 1130pm so staying up longer didn't seem to help.

Driving to Vegas on Tuesday. Setting out early to avoid the traffic in the LA area!! Maybe need to keep up the early rises but not quite so early!

Did anyone ever find a cure for jetlag?

The Muscle Car Challenge isn't running now until July due to operational changes Had an email a couple of days ago cancelling DH's booking (his Christmas present). They did offer to upgrade him to the rookie package for no extra cost, very nice of them but it wasn't something he fancied so we asked for a refund, which they agreed to straightaway. It's a shame but something he can do on a future trip instead - also it means we have an extra day to drink and gamble....every cloud

Shame about the cancellation but if they were going to upgrade to the rookie driving experience I would have jumped at the chance to drive a Nascar for 8 laps (faster than any of the muscle cars) and costs nearly 3 times as much

I know, we thought it was really decent of them to offer it but he just didn't fancy 'turning left a lot' as he put it! His mates thought he was a bit bonkers too :rotfl:

Yeah, I would have jumped at the chance to do 8 laps in a stock car!
Although I did 20 laps at Irwindale, its a small track so u don't get the speed like u do in Vegas!

I was gonna do the muscle challenge, but decided to hire 1 for 3 days again this year, aiming for the Penske GT Mustang with Hertz if I can get it, or failing that, Corvette Stingray or worst case, Dodge Challenger.... make my own challenge up !!
