Blimey - so we've booked up again... :eek:
Dublin departure this time - never been (other than passing through) so we're using it as an opportunity to look around.
We'll be calling in to Vegas on our way back from HawaiiI suspect a few of you may figure out why this is, but we've always fancied going and always been concerned about doing that sort of distance in economy (there is a decent BA / AA "business class" deal on at the moment and it is costing us less than it would in economy.. though still a few quid!
)
edit: then I'm hit with the realisation I've got to start thrashing socialrewards and possibly myVegas again! doh!!0 -

And could there be Gold status involved?The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

stoneman - did they sort out your TR credits in the end or did you lose the ones you had earned previously in the end?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

And could there be Gold status involved?looking to be in Vegas from 1st - 7th August but maybe a bit before then too
It was a bit knee-jerk as I'd been looking and had an itinerary reserved as a precaution whilst we thought about it, but then the prices went up so I jumped straight for it
We've both got no TP's at the moment (mine reset in Jan), so this will get us both up to Silver by the time we get to LAS, I'll then switch Mrs.NVH over to her AAdvantage which means that the return trip should get her up to the 80k AAmiles she needs so that should get us a nice £90 winter redemption to Florida - fingers crossed(and hoping that AA don't devalue their scheme as people seem to think will happen

We got an email 2 weeks after making the redemption saying that the points were now being transferred, and to allow 2 weeks for them to show up, which they haven't yet.
Bare in mind, I made the first attempt to transfer on the 24th December but because they were updating their system the request never got actioned. When I complained and asked that they should now hurry up I got no reply.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. I agree with the twitter idea...that is crap, particularly as had you had any idea it might take so long you could have transferred a lower number further in advance...it's not like you just got to the point of being able to redeem right before you did.
Also, I know it does you no good now...but it looks like the Alea in Nottingham is on the same players club as Empire Leicester Square and allegedly (we have never done it) you can transfer points between their players club card and TR so it may be worth considering for the future if you get close to the 6 months?

This is 18 days since I first made the redemption request, is this normal?The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.
