Will be there 3rd- 8th August to as part of our trip staying at The Venetian.
I'm currently trying to wangle a Platinum deal, though Derek seems to have a 'bottom line' recently that seems immovable(and I need to save cash AND keep the missus happy!... nightmare

Check out the following car rentals;
carhire3000
NetFlights
Expedia
usacarhire
Those three are always good for me and have never paid a one way rental between California and Nevada in about 10 years.0 -

I've driven the LA to Vegas route about once a year, its fun with a convertible stop at In Out and the roof down but not sure about the Greyhound. It always takes me about 5.5 hours to drive with a pit stop sometimes pushing it up, can't imagine the Greyhound is any quicker.
This year we are doing a SouthWest flight in and out of LAX - LAS, depending on your time and dates might be easier.0 -
IIRC we were at the Venetian last time at the same time weren't we?

I will keep looking.
Hi!
I've been to the southwest every year for the past 6 years. Each time I rent through usrentacar. No oneway fees between NV/CA/AZ and insurance is fully comp with no excess. Prices have always been good. The one time I got involved in a crash it was dealt with efficiently and I had a new car the next morning.
Would highly recommend them.

Strange request, but is anyone lucky enough to be heading to Vegas in the next couple of weeks and would be willing to help me pick up a gift from the Hershey's store in NYNY? I didn't pick it up when I was there in November and wish I had because can't find it online now!! Will obviously pay for cost and postage etc. Thanks0

Hey guys....
Am back on the bandwagon!!!!
Not doing 2 weeks this year, settling for 10 nights...
Given us a stupid budget of £700 per person again, and this is what I got so far
Fly out 31st May - LA (with AA direct)
1 night in Ontario for free with HH points...
Then 3 nights @ the Mirage with myVegas + 1 night paid
Then 6 nights @ Luxor (or might just pay a bit more for Monte Carlo, and blag a suite just like last year!)
Then back to LA on the 11th to catch direct flight home....
Stuie Cost: £696 each (luxor) , or £735 each (Monte Carlo)
Am looking at car rentals again (use USRENTACAR.co.uk , have used them since 2007)...
Dollar don't charge for 1 way rentals, but since I used them at Vegas last year and they hit me with a $300 hold (on a full full rental), I kinda gone off Dollar!
Alamo.co.uk is now showing a 1 way drop off fee...
Hertz don't charge for 1 way drop-off's, but booking with them will result in me being silly and upgrading to a Muscle car, hmmmmmmm!!
Decisions....
& the Dollar needs to sort itself out, that looks awful at the moment!!!0 -
hi all, need a little help here with social rewards. I just went to redeem another 1000 points and there is no longer the box for quantity and clicking ok.
Any help here pls0 -
most of them don't charge a one-way fee between NV and CA.
The fees are appearing, but its all to do with SFO and a lack of being able to keep enough vehicles there for the number of people ending the rental in LAX/LAS.

Dunno what Alamo's fees are, but these two are steep!Due to fleet restrictions and strong demand for one way rentals, we will introduce a new one way fee for rentals collecting from the San Francisco area and returning to Southern California and Las Vegas valid for rentals from 1st August 2014.
This fee will be applicable on all rentals, all rate products and all vehicles from all source-markets. This fee will remain in place until further notice. Please see below the specific rental and return locations.
Dollar Rentals collecting from SFO SFD SJC OAK and returning to LAX SAN LAS ONT SNA PSP BUR LGB will incur a one way fee of $450.00 payable locally and subject to taxes and fees.
Thrifty Rentals collecting from SFOT SFDT SJCT OAKT and returning to LAXT SANT LAST ONTT SNAT PSPT BURT LGBT will incur a one way fee of $450.00 payable locally and subject to taxes and fees.0
