Hi all, frequent reader but rare poster.

Have learned a vast amount of Vegas information over the last few years from you guys so thanks a million to all concerned.

I always buy the Las Vegas Advisor (LVA) each year and on this occasion they have sent a separate voucher as described in the title above.

However, it is only valid until 31st March so is absolutely no use to us (not going until September) so I offer it free to the first private message who is prepared to send a stamped addressed envelope.

I hope someone can save a few quid and enjoy having a highly rated buffet at half the cost.

    Cheers all.

    Mick
Have PMd you I am going March 2nd
if I am first I would love it
There is a risk though that they may ask for the book

Can I ask did you choose the overseas postage option or did they just send you it.
They have posted it to me before without me paying the overseas postage

Does anyone know what the cost of the extras are on the Bacchanal Buffet breakfast M-F? Specifically trying to work out what they would charge for the mimosas and VIP line pass (if they even offer such a thing) as I don't always believe the stated value on Groupons.

    http://www.groupon.com/deals/caesars-palace-bacchanal-buffet

$65 for a VIP all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet meal for two ($121.98 total value)

    All-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for two
    All-you-can-drink mimosas for two
    Two VIP line passes

we are not big mimosa people - I would have one or two and probably the others would as well, but not fussed about them - but just wondering if this may be a good deal for our trip with the in-laws in March. They want to go to Paris for breakfast and we will (they remember it from last time)...but wondering if this might be a nice option too.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I looked at that deal and decided against it.

I think the VIP line pass is worth about $15, the mimosas I couldnt find.

We have only been once, we turned up just before 11am to get the lunch buffet for breakfast price and there was no one in line so we went straight in.

Thats how i decided it wasnt great value

thanks photome...I would like to try it sometime but probably not for breakfast (or even go for breakfast stay for lunch)...but thought it might be a nice option for the in-laws...we also didn't see much of a queue for breakfast during the week when we last stayed but we are there during spring break, so...

John259 - there is nothing wrong with a fast food breakfast biscuit (edited to add: there really are several things wrong with them but I ignore those things)...big fan of the breakfast biscuit, myself...and that looks to be a fine specimen - though I did not watch the full of the video to hear the verdict.

  • Well, life has been a bit hectic for us. Missed out on a wee trip to Marrakech last month as hubby wasn't very well, but we are going to Bangkok for his 40th next week. :) 8 more sleeps.

Now, onto the Vegas stuff. I see lots of you have been getting deals. I was going to ask did anyone thing the prices might come down because of the oil/fuel prices dropping so sharply? They never come down as easily as they go up, do they!!

We are hoping to go late August, from Glasgow. I've seen flights with US Airways for just over £700 with netflights. They also have 7% quidco on packages just now. I was quite tempted the other night by a flight plus LVH (now Westgate for the first 3 nights). If we fly out 28th August we will hit the labor day weekend, but it's the only time I can get off just now. It's probably a touch earlier than I'd have liked. Anyway, the deal was £1545 for 2 flights and 3 nights in an upgraded room at LVH/Westgate and there'd be £108 cashback. So given that the flights are around £700 it means we'd get the LVH very cheaply when you include the cashback (for packages). It ends tonight though and I can't decide. :(

Don't know if anyone has stayed at LVH? I was hoping to redeem some MyVegas rewards next trip. This would likely mean a stay at an MGM property. I also fancy a stay at GVR or Red Rock or even trying Sunset Station. We could redeem MyVegas stuff at those. GVR and RR free rooms are points heavy though!! 150000 midweek I think! So if we did LVH, then GVR say, then an MGM property to redeem points, before we know it we've stayed at 3 or 4 hotels which I might find a bit much. We usually stay at Platinum, so nvh I'm also wondering how high the bottom line rate is this year!

Hmm...decisions decisions. I'm sure the quidco thing will come up again for netflights. I've been finding them quite competitive these days, we booked through them for Bangkok and got a good rate too.
  • Hi all,
We have pre booked our economy seats in the virgin bubble for our trip in October, has anyone experience of these seats? I also read if economy isn't full they will close the bubble and have everyone sit down stairs, but surely if I have paid to pre book these seats they can't do that, can they??

If the flight is quite empty they sometimes close off the bubble and you would be refunded the extra paid.
