  • Month end September 2015.

Total OP for month £716.20. :T:T:T

Savings down a little to £966 as £500 switched over to shares.

    Very happy with September :T:T:T
  • Great numbers. How much does 712 make your monthly reduction with your normal payment?
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......
  • If I could do this every month I'd be MF in about 8 years give or take. As I have a mortgage in 2 parts with 2 different terms and 2 different rates it's difficult to work out exactly.

I'm aiming for a realistic target of start of 2025, Christmas 2024 will be really happy :)
  • 8 years is my dream, but a more realistic target is 10 (9 1/2 now). Anything in between i'll be really happy with.

Hopefully we will both be MF by christmas 2024 then. An extra celebration that year :)
  • Today spent £5 on Christmas presents. Getting there on Christmas now, at this rate I'll be done and dusted soon :)

Renewed car insurance today. Was about £430 something (paying monthly) switched to aviva and moved to annual £264. Went through the TCB so will be getting £50.50 back too. Could have got a bit cheaper but wanted to keep quality of cover. It's left me a bit short in the bills account paying annually but it's worth it as the interest for paying monthly is crazy.
  • Haha I preferred it when I thoug you bought four tables. My mind boggled what you were going to do with so many!
    Mortgage [STRIKE]£269,000[/STRIKE] £258,987 / MF date [STRIKE]June'49[/STRIKE] June'49
    Debt £24,990 / Debt Free Est. May'21

  • I've not been good today :( went for coffee and cake with s friend and then treated BF and colleagues to Chocy bars. Only about £7 spent but naughty.

Miniocc came home from school club with no shoes or jumper. Honestly it's totally ridiculous. This is the second time this term. He is so dizzy. I will be cross is they are lost as replacements will be about £60.

2 of my Amazon order have been cancelled. Both items is got half price using a discount code and both said they had been despatched and returned. I have not received them though. It's really weird after that £30 credit and everything. I better get a refund soon though as its abit annoying. It's s bit crazy though as the item and the discount code are still available so don't know why they've cancelled it.

In other news the blasted owl is back, there's an owl that hoots right outside my bedroom window and scares the **** out of me in the night. A few days ago it woke us all up at about 5am. I was in a deep sleep and it terrified me. Owls are sooooo loud (this is such a first world problem!)

    Doesn't sound good.

Is it worth speaking to the school regarding the items of clothing? Surely, they cannot be getting lost within the school?
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • Oh they are. They simply have to take wellies in for nature club and change into them at 3.15. You would think this is easy but miniocc has done it, put the shoes in the wellies bag with his jumper and left it 'somewhere'. Last time the caretaker had found his missing single shoe abandoned in the school hall. He's 7 in a few weeks and still doesn't understand about looking after his things. The after school clubs at the school are extremely popular and oversubscribed and they have a lot of kids to look after. They expect all but the little ones to be able to manage their own stuff.

It'll be an early trip in for me tomorrow to locate missing articles or ask around the parents. I just don't understand why he's like it, and seems to be getting worse!
