Busy day is usually a good day in business.
You are right it's been a few good days. Very positive.
In MSE news I've switched my Santander to my new co-op account today. It means I will qualify for the quidco £80 cashback and £100 switching bonus plus £25 for charity. relatively easy process and I'll keep this account for 6 months to see how it goes.
Also logged on to PO 0% CC and the website is totally pants. Had to phone up to confirm that DD was set up to take minimum payment and I'm going to open a regular saver to hold the CC additional repayments for 12 months then pay CC with this at the end of the 12 months.0 -
I now have over £1,000 on loan at FC, keep an eye out for your referral0
-
Wow, you've done that quickly. It took my about a week to lend £100! Thanks so much for referral!
P2P is going well for me so far. Will look into rate setter too post Christmas0 -
I'm also not happy with Santander and I only opened an account last month. I am only using it for DD's do we'll have to see if it'll make any money now. If not I'll be ditching once I've received my quidco cash!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

I'm straight outta there tbh. I was thinking Santander might be good as well. The man from co op commented that they'd had lots of switchers from Santander today! I'm a bit sad about Santander but the £5 per month won't be covered by cashback so byeeeeeee!0 -
Same here. Just used the calculator thing and as of January we'll break even! So it'll be pick the best cash back offer once quidco has paid out and I'm gone!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Little MFW update
£4.83 arrived from TCB and its personal spends payday so I put another £52.46 to the mortgage and £300 to the small CC which pays it off totally. I have updated my sig to reflect new payments but brings my OP's this month so far to £490.05.
This CC will now be used for day to day CC expenditure and in fact I just booked some hotel rooms on it now and it will be paid off in full each month. Through TCB of course!
In other news I have left the CC with a balance on minimum payment and have upped my regular saver to the full £250 per month (from £100) for the final 6 months. At the end of the 6 months I will earmark £900 of the money in the regular saver to the CC thus earning a bit of interest. Sort of my first step into stoozing!
I only need to add a further £25 to my regular OP to hit my OP target. As I have changed my money shuffle a little bit to accomodate the CO-op and remove the santander I need to be a little careful so will probably stick to the £700 target and keep any other back just in case.
In non MFW news miniOCC has perfect vision and no colour blindness and optometrist said that it could be a kind of sensory overload causing it. Some people are just like it and to try to avoid the situation for now.0 -
Just a quick MSE update.
Cheap weekend so far £3 for football subs.
New groceries month started BF got the £100 in cash but I'm paying by contactless so I get the max cashback from TSB as I'm so good not spending that it's the only way I will spend £100 in a month! I just have a running total in the grocery money pot to keep track on my £100. I spent £35 in lidl which they put through in two transactions as 2 contactless payments as the limit is £20. No problems doing this. BF spent £10 in m and s to get some gluten free bits and bobs and some fennel which they didn't have in lidl. Total spend for week £45 and we are fully stocked
Not sure what we are doing today as BF was going to go on his birthday balloon flight but it was cancelled due to poor visibility. Oh what to do........0 -

Thanks greent. That was one thing I was worried about and the advise given was helpful.
Today spent £12 at car boot and got some fantastic things. Wrote a blog post on it. Blog is going well with new Twitter followers daily. FB is more difficult to crack and have 29!
Just joined up on the money shed. It looks a good forum and will take a look from time to time. Some useful money saving/making stuff on there.
Otherwise a NSD today0
