  • Finally on track with the plumbing fund and have worked out we need an extra about £800 which is better than I thought :-) also have the new outside LED sensor lights (x3) and solar iboost ready for the electrician to be fitted at the same time as moving the electrics for plumbing.

To summarise since start of February and working till end of March We will have only managed to overpay mortgage by about £250 BUT will have managed to get 3.75 kW solar system installed, house painted, external lights and plumbing and tank. It's been a struggle but in a couple of weeks things will be a whole lot better!

    What's next on the list.....guttering!

It's been a busy 2015 for those living in the corner cottage! I hope your solar panels are reaping the benefits of the gorgeous weather we've been having. I've fitted in a few evening walks which has been lovely. Hope you're all well.

Thx it has been very busy, we are on a mission! After the plumbing we are saving again though so a bit of a rest from it!

The weather has been great for the solar, I can't believe it! At last a bit of luck.

I've been working loads at the moment as OH has been at home painting the house so I need a long walk!
  • The 10 year fix is in my head again. First direct offering 2.89 now. Oh it's so tempting. OP's okay but there is an early repayment charge. Am going to scan my previous posts to see how much rates were last time I posted about this!
  • Got £2.08 from Quidco straight into mortgage account so I rounded it up to £10 as I like it rounded!

A bit more return from Funding Circle, Im desperate to put in another £100 but simply cant afford that until im better off.

As always the returns are looking good on the funding circle. Over half way through the month now so the end is in sight! Hope you're well and March isn't dragging with all the expenses.

Also any further thoughts on the 10 yr fixed? When are you up for renewal?

I have lots of thoughts on it but get no further! I can renew whenever as I am on a tracker with no ERC and unlimited overpayments. I'm holding my nerve at the moment before fixing and will fix for 5 years minimum when I do! I really dont want to increase my current payments by fixing so am looking for it to get down to just around 2% which it nearly is. I flirt with the idea of a 10 year fix and think that I would go for it if the rate dropped a little bit further (nearer 2.5%)
  • Won a training day at norwich City training ground for son from Aviva. :-)
  • Set up a hsbc isa to go along with my advance account. Set up a £25 transfer each month so qualify for £10 per month free money from hsbc! Should have £300 + 120 free money from hsbc plus a little bit of interest after 12 months.

Registered with aviva rewards after my win yesterday so will get a free coffee from cafe Nero every Monday :-)

Changed my savings so of 125 per month to £25 to one and £100 to my new m and s account. Am going to review this next month and try to open another regular saver.

Didn't manage a NSD as needed milk and yoghurt from Tesco.

Money for plumbing all sorted now, one more skint month and can start OPing again
