  • Coloured in the first square on my house I drew today! signatures updated and march op's totaling £167.10

Not bad since we have been saving for the plumbing.
  • Away on business at the moment whilst at home the plumbing is being done :-) whilst waiting for the boys swimming in the hotel pool I did a really quick blog post, let me know what you think! http://stretchyourpennies.blogspot.com

on the MSE front spending loads whilst I'm not even there on pluming but spending nothing personally :-)
  • Away on business so not much going on on the MSE MFW front!

Free swimming in the hotel pool and use of facilities and personal NSD's but that's about it. I plan to liberate as much l'occtaine product as possible from the bathroom :-)

Hope the plumbing is going well back home, I dread what my house currently looks like!
  • Totally forgot to rib the Lithuanians I was working with today about the footie! That's annoying!
  • Have had a fairly relaxing 4 days away back in Blighty tomorrow. Realised I haven't checked my bank account for 4 days, hope everything's been okay!

Plumber brought 2 helpers yesterday to get the place so all the messy works done whilst we're not there. He's such a legend, he's even liasing with the electrician as we're not there.

Have chased scottish power about FIT will see how much longer they will take to process application which went in about 5 weeks ago.

Have managed with personal spends of less than £60 between us for the break and it's been fun :-)
  • Back on British soil today!

Plumbing nearly finished :-) we currently have hot water again but no heating! electricians been today done his bits and also put up 3 x external lights with motion sensors and the solar Iboost.

I arrived back to lots of info from santander and I've set up S/O to go into there of £500 pcm and changed 4 utility bills over there currently, will ring other 2 tomorrow. Will then see that's left yo transfer back out at end of month.

FIT application letter from Scottish power recieved and date of my first meter reading (end may) sent. Well happy this has been sorted quickly. All fit payments will go to building up emergency/next job fund for now, then to OP's. I'm expecting about 500 per year back plus electricity and oil savings.

Happy ish with March progress and even managed a little OP. have got tree felling booked for next month so hope to OP by £400 in April and catch up my 2 crappy months OP's in the summer :-)

I would like to declare that we have both heating and hot water!!!

We lasted 6 weeks with no hot water and it wasn't so bad at all.

Now back on to the next job of replenishing emergency funds, saving for guttering and OPing mortgage.

Still loving the blog and am going to try to post tomorrow if time allows!

  • We ran a really really hot bath and little one was astounded he could have a bath! Couldn't quite believe it!

I can't believe how quiet the whole system is and how much difference new radiators make.

We've got it on like the Caribbean tonight as a treat! Although it's actually getting a bit hot now!

Thx re blog, I need to get inspired for my next installment I'm thinking top 2 minute things to reduce spending.

    No 1 hide credit card!
    No 2 don't go shopping!
  • Okay enough already! The excess water from the plumbing work plus the delaying doing it due to money saving has meant that our septic tank is FULL! Very full! Currently Poo Poo Man is doing is magic on emptying and jetting through all of the pipe work. Bye bye £180. Shouldn't need doing for another 18 months and won't need a jet through every time (hopefully)
