No I'm not mortgage free, my only tip, try and not spend money unless you have to. Walk where possible, free activities parks, museum, no heating even in winter.

I wouldn't advise my previous strategy it was too much but it has given me a lot of equity I wouldn't have had. I'm now a single mum and quite frankly without previous ops I'd have never been allowed to transfer the mortgage to my sole name as the income multiple would have been too high.

It's hard to tell as it's turning on and off all day to use the electricity when we aren't using it elsewhere.

Yesterday it sent about 5kw to the iboost and we had piping hot water all day with it being used during the day too.

    MSE jobs done today

    1. Did a money shuffle to cover bills whilst I'm setting up my new accounts.
    2. Few pennies from the adverts on my blog (check it out)
    3. Free hot water from the solar iboost.
    4. Sort a few quid from tcb to mortgage that I can OP. Regular OP will head to mortgage soon and I may be able to add a little bit more too this month although not yet the £400 I want to do per month :-(

    Not so MSE
    1. Started work at 6am so forgot lunch and brought some coffee and snacks :-(

    Sigs updated

Published blog post about cleaning silver jewellery for free from household items, forgot to add that to my list. Silly me!

  • I've had some great tips from the old school money saving forum. Top tips! I'm definately putting some straight into operation.

I've done a few changes to the blog, to work on the layout. I've started and am getting the hang of making little changes but am going to dust of some of my technical brain cells to make it look fancier! I really need to create a logo but don't want to pay to make one. I'll keep looking around till I can find a free logo creator. Let me know what you think to my changes your feedback is much appreciated http://stretchyourpennies.blogspot.co.uk
