That will feel good to have two big things crossed off. Nice to see the kW count going up and up!

Sig updated with kW generated (very cloudy day) and the couple of small OP's from £co and Tcb.
Another £14 coming from £co on the next payment run for a switch I'd done a few months ago.0 -
Sig updated with everything. Standard payment plus OP came out today and that was an OP of £103.42. Should have another £14 from Quidco by end of the month so wont declare my feb OP yet but its lookign to be about £125 which is really good under the circumstances of the plumbing disaster!
We are doing suprisingly well with no hot water, in fact is making very little difference.
Nothing else to declare at the moment except got free tickets to see norwich vs wiganbut missed the ipswich ones

Hi ourcornercottage,
I've been AWOl for a bit but have been doing some money-saving all the while - just updated my own diary about it so won't repeat but just wanted to say that's really good going considering the plumbing problem.
Can't imagine how you are managing without hot water.
I sold three items on Ebay and raised a total of ££52 - very pleased with that. Have you done any more?

I was wondering where you were! We are going fine without hot water, electric shower and dishwasher and problem solved :-)
Booked in plumbing yo be done end of March and for tree to be cut down end of April.
I have been ebaying but a bit is a disaster as I muched up my postage so ended up being out of pocket and yet another item not paid for, really annoying. Sold a bike seat in fb tho which I find less hassle tbh.0 -
1st March so a new month! Fingers crossed it's better than last.
Things to look forward to....
Office at work is being freshened up (bulk of painting done today)
Mini break/work trip end of the month, my mums looking after dogs so that saves £100 :-)
The plumbing is being done this month (when we are away)
Not much on the OP front planned this month, but aiming for £120 minimum.
Continue with meal planning and reduce the store cupboard a little.0 -
The office workplace is looking great with a lick of paint. BF has been painting the outside of our house it's taken him all his time off offer the last week or so but it's saved us loads. It would have cost us hundreds to get it done by a painter and decorator. Next to start on the small bedroom.
We are still scraping by on very little money to get the plumbing done. We are doing really well so should be fine. Electrics for plumbing work is going to cost £200 including fitting 3 external lights so if you are skint, you might as well be totally skint!
I've finally sold a couple of ebays, I really have no motivation in the ebaying front.0 -
Best ever day on the solar over 14 kWh generated.0

I am very new and only had them fitted a few weeks ago.
As far as I understand I get the feed in tarrif and in addition currently they pay you for 50% of everything you produce. If my calculations are right I should get 14p per kWh produced.
I try to use as much as possible of what I generate by running washing machine etc when the are generating the most. I also have a solar iboost which will use any excess generation to heat my water once my plumbing is back up and running.
Currently I can't really tell how much I'm saving at the moment in terms of imported electricity as my pluming went crazy the day before I had the solar panels fitted so I've been using shower more and heating water in kettle more. All I can say is my usage hasn't gone up even though I'm using tons more.
If you are going to do it I'd really recommend my installer, I could pm their details0
