This weekend I am going to list some things on Gumtree and Ebay.

I've written it so now it's a fact!

Meal planning is going very well indeed. I think I can get groceries back down to £40 per week doing this once I'm organised. Today I have cooked 2 Apple and ginger cakes. One standard and one gluten free. Making all our own bread too which equals lovely sandwiches!

Still spending very little, I get paid on 18th and have spent only about £40 since last payday excluding food and household bills. Should be on track for plumbing end of March :-)
  • Listed car seat on gumtree/Facebook. Got a bit of interest. Going to put old bike on too!

Cake for school cake sale went down very well and sold out very quickly :-)

Going to use my sainsbury voucher curtesy of bt tomorrow for my weekly shop, it's a very tight month and have maximum of £30 to try and last until 18th. Saying that though oaid for solar without touching the emergency fund so it's worth it. Emergency fund (and more) will be going on the plumbing end of month so need to restart emergency fund in April! Fingers crossed for no emergencies this year!

    Nothing else to report.....for now!

Well done on this months spends. I need to get mine back in check! Pleased to hear your nearly back on track. Keep up the good work. Reading your diary keeps me on the straight and narrow (or at least wobbling around it!)

Let ourselves down by having a mcd's Saturday. It was so tasty though. We don't ever eat junk food so it's such a treat. We ended up going into work for a couple of hours so this was a treat for the boy to make up for it

Got £25 worth of presents for 2 birthdays this weekend for £8 with vouchers. Spend zero on food as had a sainsbury voucher. Gonna have to be creative for Mother's Day next weekend!

Trying to make a GF baileys loaf in the breadmaker but can't quite get the consistency right. Not holding our much hope tbh. Maybe will try something else later!

  • Thanks DFOD we have been lucky that it's bern very sunny since our installation :-)

Update on the baileys cake, it was an epic fail. GF baking is so tricky. The pineapple and ginger one I've just made since is a big success :-)

Sigs updated but nothing more to declare as yet this month. Solar is doing very nicely thanks to the unusually sunny March! We haven't had a day with just sun and no cloud yet but constantly okay so it's adding up!

funding circle is in 2 figures!

Still managing on very little money although car is in for mot and service today. I'm thinking 300-500 but we will see.

Worked out daily interest at £9.62 so need to work to get that under £9.

To tidy things up, I like the mortgage accounts to have a round amount, it's been driving me mad these last 2 months where I havent been doing it. made 9.36 and 2.46. OP's mortgages now 36350 and 100880. Will be able to (finally) colour in a square on my house on my next mortgage payment!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)
