The banks are putting a hold on all claims but it is up to the individual court if they put a hold on cases already planned. The FO is not taking on any new cases.
    To Edinburghlass.
    I followed the instructions of letters 1 + 2, 28.02.07 + 14.03.07.
To cut it short i have a court date for 14.08.07.
Will this just go ahead even after the recent days happenings. Should i just continue and go for the full figure or should i contact Nat West and propose a settlement figure of say Charges plus costs plus half the interest???
I will anticipate and respect your reply.
More info on my previous posts.
    Thanks Chris.

Yes it should still go ahead so hold your nerve and wait it out for a week anyway! You'll hear from the court should the bank apply for a stay.

We have had reports in from people who were at Southend County Court. Barclays actually turned up I presume they were expecting to get a stay. Unfortuantely for them the Judge was not very accomodating. He has allocated all the matters to the fast track for hearing on 4 December 2007. It sounds like Southend are going to have a mass hearing. If anyone has a matter coming up at Southend between now and December can you let us know when your case has been put off until. I think that contrary to the impression some people were given by the court staff all cases at Southend have now been stayed until the hearing in December.

I have not gone to court yet as I can not afford it. The bank (the abbey) have the claim in their second stage of complaints they offered 280 as a good will out of 1400, I rejected it, but I have not heard from them since, I dont want to ring and chase it if the FSA ruling means they can actually put the calim on hold even though its not at court stage yet. x Sue

Abbey will have put a "hold" on the claim no matter if you phone or not. Your only option now is to start a court action. Check the Reclaim Help Thread for a link to court fee exemptions to see if you qualify then you can put your claim in through your local court and take your proof of exemption with you.

You need to get your claim into the system now.

I posted here on Friday because I was concerned that my Court Date of 3rd August might be stayed. I received a letter from HSBC yesterday offering a full settlement, including interest and court fees.

    Hang in there!

My mycol still says acknowledged... ??? I don't think that means mine will continue though... most people get a payout from Capital 3 weeks after mycol defended - I was only 2 weeks away from getting a cheque??

Can someone tell me if they refused a partial offer and sent a LBA but then changed their mind and asked for the lower amount? Is it too late?

ps: just rang Mycol and they said it is continueing and hasn't been put on hold - I didn't have to give my details or what bank/credit card details - so this applies to all claims... this doesn't mean capital will payout as they have been before though - does it?
