Our case is taking a while (first letter sent February). Lloyds have not replied to last two letters (last one sent 10th July (Letter 6)). Was completing and submiting form to the Ombudsman this weekend. Can we continue via Ombudsman as the the bank hadt not replied. (They had them because our son got his money today, we sent the letters for him in the same envelope.I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.:eek:0

Hey Sara, why do you feel you should apologise? We are all entitled to our opinions and to have our say, that's exactly what a forum is about.
By the way, anyone noticed how late it is, and we're still posting! I think we're all having sleepless nights because of this test case.0 -

ANYONE WHO HAS RECIEVED AN OFFER BUT NOT ACCEPTED/DECLINED THE OFFER WILL HAVE 2 MONTHS IN WHICH TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE. IF YOU ACCEPT, YOU WILL BE PAID. IF YOU DECLINE, YOUR OFFER WILL BE SCRAPPED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE OUTCOME. THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD AN OFFER AND ACCEPTED WILL BE PAID BECAUSE IT BEFORE THE WAIVER WAS PUT IN PLACE.
If you go to the FSA website, there are announcements and quick guides that inform you of what to do in your situation:dance: Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
I've been reading on CAG and the general consensus is to keep claiming. Carry on with your own timetables until the court says otherwise. Once your claim is logged into the system it can't be ignored once a decision is made. Some may not want to pay out the court costs (understandably), but if you can afford to do it, then do it. And don't be frightened to start a claim:dance: Proud to be dealing with my debts0

i agree but ive dug my self out of that ditch. for those still in it it isnt going to help and feel for them. its totally unfair people may be priced out of there legitimate legal remady because the banks can just do it.claimed/settled - Natwest £2,535/£2,535, HSBC visa £80/£80, MBNA £1,258/£1,258, capital one £282/£282, tesco visa £515/£515, HSBC visa £140/£140. Unfortunately, I am one of the many that is still in the ditch, I am just about to start my claim through the courts for myself (4K), my son (£1275) and my dad (£1030). I know that it means that I'm probably going to have a wait on a decision, but if I'm in the queue and the decision goes our way (which it should), then I know I've secured my stake. I'll just have to make plans to spend it a little later than originally planned :dance: Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
would like to draw attention to a cheque for £100 I made to my daughter this was ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY paid in to The Abbey National late morning on Saturday 2nd June 2007 it had cleared through my account on Tuesday 5th June 2007, this was 1 working day from Abbey presenting the cheque and it clearing, yet when I pay a cheque in to my account at my branch it takes 3 or 5 working days depending on the account you hold (WHY?) to clear. Let me make it clear, if all my cheques paid in to my account over the last 6 years cleared as quickly as 1 working day, I would not have incurred a single bank charge. I am now going to complain to the Nationwide about these unfair clearing practices, I shall claim for my time, effort and distress for the hassle of the unequal timescales (I shall pluck a figure out of mid air - it works for them) when as "they are proud to be different", they treat me with utter contempt and disrespect by sending out a computer generated letter, I shall refer them to the Ombudsman, whatever the outcome, it will cost them £400. Now the Ombudsman will be twiddling their thumbs as all the reclaims have been suspended, so what better way to keep them busy than 2 million of us complain to them about clearance times, wrong amounts taken, rude behaviour, not replying etc etc etc. We can still make them pay - just not to us. We should not give up. To those who rightly feel cheated and angry at the underhand tactics of the banks and FSO (stinks of corruption) channel that energy into new complaints, however trivial, to the Ombudsman. To the employees of the immoral, unethical and disgusting organisations - If they can treat their customers who lets face it - pay your wages, think what they can do to you when they find cheaper foreign labour - its already happening. ALL employees should put pressure on their employers to conduct their business with respect, consideration and most of all FAIR PLAY to the very people who are no different to you. As bank employees, show us the CUSTOMER that you can empathise and put yourself in our shoes rather than take the moral highground or pious attitude that we are all irresponsible peasants or fraudsters. By NOT challenging your employers behaviour (I do not expect you to risk your jobs) you become as immoral as them. This is a fight for fairness to the ordinary person - we must not lose.
