  • I very much doubt it... Can't see how they'd be able to.That's why they're suspending all cases now.So they don't pay out anymore money than they have to

I know this may sound like a daft question, but how long does anyone think this test case will last.. Are we talking weeks, months?????

early December - I think... unless it's been forward from the date I read.
    I'm hoping I got that wrong :o
Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later date :o:D
now at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!
  • I'm no expert but from what I'm reading is to carry on as normal.. if you've got a date don't worry bout it for now. i guess the outcome of all of this will be decided at the end of the OFT case.. I only posted my court papers on Fri but I'm not worried.. jus got sit back and hope for the right outcome!!!

it will go on unless you hear differently from the court.

PLEASE NOTE. THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR DISCUSSING THE RIGHTS AND WRONG OF RECLAIMING. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THREADS FOR THAT.

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD TO SUGGESTED QUESTIONS THAT WE NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWER.

E.g. (more for my own notes than any other)

    i. Will court fees be refunded via MCOL if cases won't be heard.
ii. Will cases currently scheduled still be heard
iii. Will cases that haven't been acknolodges via MCOL still go through
iv. What will happen to cases that have already been put to the FOS.

I have just been reading the fsa notes on this subject
ANYONE WHO HAS RECIEVED AN OFFER BUT NOT ACCEPTED/DECLINED THE OFFER WILL HAVE 2 MONTHS IN WHICH TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE. IF YOU ACCEPT, YOU WILL BE PAID. IF YOU DECLINE, YOUR OFFER WILL BE SCRAPPED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE OUTCOME. THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD AN OFFER AND ACCEPTED WILL BE PAID BECAUSE IT BEFORE THE WAIVER WAS PUT IN PLACE. Hope this helps
