Another NSD to report. Only expense was sending a parcel but should get the money back for that, something faulty I needed to return.

We have some specific things we are saving for and I find it much easier to say no to spends with DH when I mention our goals. Before I would simply say we can't afford it which isn't always true as we often have spare money at the end of the money but really it isn't spare as we have lots of money we need to save for house jobs. I am trying so hard to not cave in and buy the smaller things we need and want and get at least some of the big spends saved for first.

  • Happy Birthday Ems you share it with my DGS Jack he is 15 today :)
Thrift be kind to yourself honey good times will come again.
Post office relieved me of £20.34 this morning for a parcel post to France for my brother !!!, but he will reimburse me as its stuff needed for his motor home that he is renovating.

Quiz night tonight I was going to stay for DGS birthday pizza (his choice) but as organiser I couldn't get a replacement for our team at short notice ,but I get fed there so I haven't got to cook tonight :) only 4 more days in February and the food purse is still firmly shut.
I managed to get my bit of washing dried today as it was so blowy ,now have mount ironmore to face tomorrow
    have a good evening chums

Have bought carrots, parsnips and onions - can't wait to get home and chop it all up ready to chuck in the slow cooker before work tomorrow - it's the little things that make me happy :D

Ems hope you've had a lovely day and enjoyed your treat :)
