Thanks Savingqueen. Truth be told I have been feeling a bit down due to ex sending nasty drunken texts.
But pulled myself back together and realised that you can't help some people and best when dealing with people that get nasty is to realise its their problem and to walk away.0 -
Evening everyone
Turtle, well done on telling her! I'm surprised that she did noticed herself that she went over the top with her comments.
I also like Jackies stories, they're often like a small, very entertaining history lesson!
Need new earphones, I still had the original ones that came with my phone three years ago until somewhen in fall when the sound on one ear was gone. So I bought new - although cheaper - ones but they only worked for a month... The next pair at least lasted for three months, but two weeks ago I noticed that a wire was standing out. Put it back in place with some tape and it went on working until it lost the sound on one side last week. Today they packed up completely.
So need new ones again and am quite annoyed by the fact that they only seem to work for some months. Up to now I didn't wanted to pay the price for the original ones thought might be cheaper in the long run...
But I need them as I listen to music on the train to work, so will have to get new ones somewhere...
Have a nice evening everyoneFashion on the Ration 2022: 5/66 coupons used: yarn for summer top 5 /

Hi Turtle
Glad you are ok and that you managed to say something to that awful woman!! I know what you mean that you wanted to say more but you couldn't. To be honest I probably would have been the same as you. The main thing is you managed to get her to back off and that is what you wanted her to do. So if you look back at what you did manage to say it was probably enough and you did not have to waste anymore of your time speaking to her about it. I do hope for you that that is the end of it.
Keep your chin up.That woman is not worth it!!!!!!!!

Dont just delete his number, block it. If you have an Iphone its easy to do and if your phone doesnt have the facility you can download a free app that will let you block someone's number.0 -
Well did my Tuesday reductions shopping, did well tonight. All is just plodding along except when I said a situation that someone close to me was going through had been resolved. Not so.
I'll talk about it someday but I can't at the moment, it's been a horrendous few years, but this had better be sorted soon, because no one should ever go/be going through what we have had to endure these past few years.
Im eating, exercising, my sleep pattern has gone to pot again, but my relative is ok as they can be, just giving them as much support as I can just now, so if I fall off the radar for a while, I don't really have the heart at the moment.0 -
Thanks edwink and RR I really hope that's the end of it as well. RR - I think she realised she'd gone to far because when she shouted on Monday in the canteen 'here she is, warming up her own food again!' I said 'Yes I am, is there anyone else you'd like to announce it to?' and walked off. Maybe that was a clue?!0

Well done Turtle.:T
I have been awake hours:(
Had a nice day yesterday, although I did spend a bit.As there are no shops to speak of where I live I stock up a bit when I can.I got some Easter stuff for 4 children I buy for,2 Mother's day gifts and even a stocking filler to put away for Christmas. We had a supermarket picnic in the car and bought coffee.I think I spent about £25.
As I am up so early I will crack on and do a lot of cleaning today, well when youngest gets up at 7am.Mr V already been gone an hour or so.
Slowdown and other poorly people get well soon.

Spent 50p yesterday buying a reduced sandwich but other than that I've spent nothing since I last updated.
Not feeling well today and I have a twelve hour shift0 -

Honestly Turtle, some people. Everyone else in the room must have thought she was a right idiot
If she starts again, it might be worth asking your manager (whom I think you mentioned is aware) to have a word with her manager. It just isn't acceptable behaviour, and could be construed as bullying, even if this isn't the intention (probably more likely to be lack of self awareness and poor social skills).0 -
Thank you for your comments I hope I don't ramble on too much.I tend to sit at my desk and remember so many nice things that happened to me over the years and maybe its getting old that brings them back
:):) One of my DGS Mikey asked me what life was like in black and white as we had been watching an old film on t.v.
:):)
Piles of pancakes for the boys yesterday and I got them to thinking what they may give up for lent My abstinance is for my beloved ginger nut bicuits .Doesn't sound much but it really is, as my family would testify.Where ever there are GN so am I.
I even toured the US with my friend a few years ago armed with a decent stash as I wasn't keen on the US ones. My McVities go where I go as a rule .But I promised the boys none will be eaten until Easter and they are all having bets on how long I can last before I 'crack':):) Even my Dds don't think I can do it .They think I have ginger in my veins.A cuppa really isn't very nice without them and I promised not to substitute them for anything else so today will be the first day without them !!!! No biscuits of any sort for 40 days, I will defimitely be saving cash
Right must get a wriggle on as I am looking after the boys again today
Cheers shipmates ( It will mean I'll probably drink less tea as well )0
