Morning chums I'm a sort of semi-veggie
:):) as I do eat meat, but far less than I used to, and can often go for several days without it
mainly because I actually like veg and can happily eat a cauli cheese as we as I would a plate of meat and two veg.It used to be that my meal was based around meat, but now I enjoy vegatable so much more than I did I can take it or leave it. I often have the veggie option when I'm out in a restaraunt. I think its great that there are so many options around for food far more than when I was young. The fact there has been an influx of different cultures to the UK has helped, and to me I am as happy with a veggie curry or lasagne as I would be with roast Beef and two veg.
Yesterday for lunch I had a cheese quiche with salad where once it would have had to have had ham.I don't think its weird just my tastes are altering as I have got older perhaps
Tonight for dinner I have yesterdays left over veg which is a couple of roast potato's some carrots ,some brocolli and some white cabbage This will be baked with a mix of grated cheese on top mixed with breadcrumbs in the oven.Great way to use up left overs and virtually a free meal as the left overs I brought home from DDs last nightI add a little made up onion sauce to top it off ,Strawberry yoghurt for pud and dinner done and dusted in under half an hour. I'm off to look after thre of my DGS this morning as its half term.I think we are doing a prject for school about spain for the youngest one0 -
What a good idea! As long as you remember the date on which you turned all the hangers the wrong way round !! I suppose you stick a Post-It reminder somewhere on the inside of your wardrobe?
Hi primrose
Just a thought shall we choose a selective date between those of us on ship that want to take part in this challenge.
Then from time to time we could post on here how we are doing on the "back to front clothes hanger challenge!!
I propose March as the start date (as my wardrobes are not built yet!!!! Is March ok for you Primrose??? and others??? Or we could go for April as the weather is better then and Spring cleaning starts around that time.
What about our shipmates?? Any one up for the challenge??? If so please state your preferred starting date!!

So true! I used to have to travel a lot with work, to some very small towns, and it was a nightmare - many's the night I just had to have a sandwich in my room!
I'm one! Over 30 years now :j
This is a good idea (omigod, what have I said!) So it means I can take my time about decluttering, right? And if I decide I'm keeping anyway, then at least its a conscious decision, yes? Oooh, I might have to join in!
YES!!!! What month would you prefer?? Thinking maybe March or April for the start date.
Yay!!! Another veggie!!!!!!

March would be good! Plenty of time for people to join in - I work from home, and I'm single, so I'm on here a *lot* (though my computer was unhappy last week, so I wasn't here at all).2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good morning shipmates.
Today is the day that me n Mr V file for divorce! or the day we attempt to haul all the pieces of renovated wardrobe up the stairs and re assemble it.
I would love to join in the wrong way round clothes hangers challenge.
I was a vegetarian for 18 years but when pregnant for the first time I gave in to cravings for bacon butties.I am still very, very, very fussy about what "meat" I do eat.
Purple shoes glad to hear the situation with the mouthy woman has cooled. It is horrible when things like that happen.
The wardrobe is not completely finished but I want it out of the kitchen.I have saved the worst 'till last. The last door has been completely stripped and now needs glueing and reassembling before filling,sanding,3 coats of paint and waxing.
It was a single and a double if you can imagine. The double side was full of drawers so not giving much hanging.I will use some of the higher drawers for under bed storage and have bought new rails for both sides to hang clothes.I must confess the rails cost £25 but I used the money from selling stuff.Puts a dent in the Air r-m fund.I may have also bought a house plant whilst I was at it.
Looking at my spends so far this month it seems high (for me)I suppose it does include a valentines meal and stocking up a bit after using everything up in January.Non food does include school shoes and a £30 toaster, which I don't like by the way.
I have some £5 off a £40 spend at aldee. It is killing me but I have to admit I don't have to use them.Have already used 2 of them.I will be strong.
Spring is in the air shipmates, the snow here has all but gone now and spring bulbs are showing through the ground.I have some snow drops out in the back garden.
Have a nice day.Vx:0 -
Morning
I am missing wandering around the shops - so sad! just shows you what bad habits we get into. I don`t need anything so I am not going!
I shall just go for a walk with the dog. Free and healthy.Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0 -
Morning, count me in for the back to front coat hanger challenge. March is a good time to start for me but happy to wait for those that are still building their wardrobes. I think this will be a really interesting challenge, I'm pretty sure that I wear 20% of my clothes 80% of the time.0
