I have a Christmas card my late OH bought for me a couple of years before he died and every year I'd get it out and it went in pride of place on the mantlepiece. The words were so nice and summed up our almost 40 years together bless him .I sadly lost my OH in 2003 but every year out comes 'Granddad's' card and one of my grandsons puts it on the mantlepiece for me in pride of place. He would be chuffed to think he's not been forgotten (as if

Well, have been visiting family today and Auntie, a woman who never hesitates to say exactly what she thinks, no matter how it might wound, said apropos of nothing; Your hair looks very nice.
This is a woman who has the salon do her hair and has done of decades. She looked a bit done when I nonchalantly said I'd cut it myself yesterday.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

What a lovely thought! I try not to hoard too much paperwork but despite that, every year I safely store the latest Christmas card, Valentines card and Birthday card my husband gives me in case it's the last one. Not very long ago it nearly proved to be the case due to some massively dangerous surgery he had to undergo. Thankfully he recovered but life is uncertain and it's important to have some special memories to hang onto. I hope your card gives you a lot of comfort Jackie.0 -

Auntie is always genuine in her comments, often genuinely bliddy rude., so she would have told me if she thought it looked naff. I will regard it as being like to gud hauskipping seal of approval - proof positive that my haircut rocks.
Whilst I wear this style I won't be able to do 100% DIY haircutting, because I flinch at the idea of running an electric trimmer up the back of my skull, even with the help of two mirrors, but if I can get Mum to do the back about every 6 weeks, I can look after the rest myself.
:T Money and time-saving, I detest getting my hair cut with a passion.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Great news Candygirl!:j
I've had a little spend over the last couple of days (this month is definitely worse than January). I ran out of black paint so got some from amazon, and decided to get some multi matte medium too (lauded by crafters) and a little early birthday present for myself (Hobbit souvenir) Total of £20.29
I then bought some Dr P (long shift at work) some grapes and a cod gratin as it had gone down in price and I wanted to try it. Total £6
Then someone gave me a tip of £18.40! I'm saving that for my birthday so I can treat myself to a nice breakfast.0 -
