Morning everyone - I'm late, sorry!
Trying hard not to eat or drink before weigh-in then straight off to vol job 2 for round 2 with the books and bric!
Hugs to Dusty for your mum and your friend and you too. x Agree with someone above that ITU suggestion is so mum is looked after the best they can.
More sticks for BD LW - today is another day and you were far more organised than I was yesterday!
I have an email to do now then airer turn round and perhaps some ironing before I go out.
The walk yesterday left me snoozing on the sofa all evening then awake half the night!! Need to get the balance right - but that is so for all things and it is not easy!
Have a good day everyone.xJuly 16 £95/£200

Dusty, I must apologise that I have kept forgetting to write that I am sending healing vibes to your friend. I have been thinking of you and her, and will continue to do so.
By midnight I had achieved everything off my list for yesterday except post the :xmassmile cards and sort out the printer, so was well pleased. The six of us who made it to the Old Wives' meeting found that between us we didn't have a key to the room, so I was able to invite them back to our house. I turfed DH out of the lounge (he was happy enough to go and play in his man cave :A ) and we just put on a CD of carols played gently on a Gaelic harp, lit candles, sat and chatted, drank tea/coffee and ate mince pies, swapped recipes and generally had a very pleasant and relaxing evening
This morning I have already cleaned out both fridges, which are almost completely empty, started cooking the gammon in the SC for tonight's meal, and woke DH up at 8.36 with a cup of tea - we have to be ready to go out at 9.15.
Today's list looks like this:
- shower, S&S bathroom
- ring my friend re house-sitting
- SW
- post cards and buy bananas
- hairdresser
- if necessary, supervise the double glazing workmen at my friend's house while she goes with her son to his hospital appointment. It may be an enormous problem for him that the workmen should be at their house while he and his mum are both out (part of his mental health problem), even though I know they are both totally trustworthy. Calming vibes for him would be greatly appreciated
- sort out the colour printer
- carry on with printing, crafting and packing the resource boxes - I need to make a sail for a ship, now that I've found half a wire coathanger!
- order gifts from "South America" or similar for DS1 and his family
- write my list for a big food shop tomorrow
- if time, write overseas cards and letters
DH is about to unload spoons from the DW, and there are sticks a-plenty in the lane which I will toss back into the woods. (((Hugs))) to all who need them, especially (gently) LW and Jazee. "Be good" vibes to the elves. x0 -

Living room and hall Done!
DD to preschool, a few other little jobs done. Just had coffee, and need to buy a few bits in Sainsbury's.
Dusty That's disappointing news for your friend, and I really hope it turns out well. I will be sending lots of positive healing vibes her way. I agree with others re your mother and possible ITU, best place if she needs extra care because of her heart.
Love and virtual hugs, sticks, spoons etc to all our flyladies who may need them.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Quick update and change of plan because I have to take my friend to hospital tomorrow morning for an extra appointment for herself (provided that there is a bed for her in the Day Care unit - fingers crossed):
[STRIKE]- shower, S&S bathroom
- ring my friend re house-sitting
- SW
- post cards and buy bananas
- hairdresser
- if necessary, supervise the double glazing workmen at my friend's house while she goes with her son to his hospital appointment. It may be an enormous problem for him that the workmen should be at their house while he and his mum are both out (part of his mental health problem), even though I know they are both totally trustworthy. Calming vibes for him would be greatly appreciated[/STRIKE] - thank you, they both made it to the appointment
- write my list for a big food shop[STRIKE] tomorrow[/STRIKE] which I must now do this afternoon
- order gifts from "South America" or similar for DS1 and his family
- write overseas cards and letters
- carry on with printing, crafting and packing the resource boxes[STRIKE] - I need to make a sail for a ship, now that I've found half a wire coathanger![/STRIKE] - will leave the sail until tomorrow
DH is being an :A about changes to his arrangements to accommodate my friend's needs. And he lost 4lb this week, whilst I somehow put 1/2 lb back on (must have been last night's mince pie!)0 -
Many thanks for all the sticks - please keep 'em coming, I always struggle with the BD at this time of year.
Frankly, I'll be glad when this month's out of the way.
Sounds like I'd better do some healing for LittleyDog. I'll include Cracker also, plus any other furbabies in need.
And of course, healing vibes for all friends and loved ones who need them.
Anyways, in an effort to feel less lonely and isolated (again, this is always a problem this time of year - daft bat, aren't I??) I'm looking at the Official List again today.:o
Tuesday - living room, hallway, stairs
15 minutes
Clear the floor of clutter 'Tis clear. I've picked up all the half-eaten dog biscuits and put them back on Daisy's tray. She's a strange one - I can hand her a biscuit, and she'll sit with it in her mouth for half an hour, like she's forgotten she has it.
Remove anything now which can give more space for putting the tree up (or tidy your tree if it is up) No idea if we're bothering  - if we are, it'll go on my desk, which will be cleared Thursday (it has Daisy's stuff on it now - Dave, who is coming when Daisy leaves, doesn't have so much gubbins with him as a rule)
Wipe the mantle and coffee table Will do shortly.
30 minutes to spare ...
Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room Done some already (last night) will try for the rest later, when I can put Daisy in another room with Mr LW for company
Give the downstairs loo, sink etc a good clean Mr LW did it at the weekend,:A so I just need to S'n'S daily.
Got an hour....
Wash the windows Don't need to - Daisy doesn't do nose art.:D
Sweep you step, tidy your porch and wash down the paintwork to make it welcoming Mr LW did this at the weekend, too.:A We don't have a proper porch, but he did do all the doorstep and outside of the door.
Write some cards if you need to I'll prepare the list in a bit - Mr LW actually writes the bloomin' things. I suspect our list will be reduced yet again this year.
Extras
Get yours overseas cards in the post some last dates are this week. N/A - all Mr LW's overseas rellies are now sadly deceased.Check dates here
Sort out toys/DVDs/books - any for re-homing before gifts arrive. N/A - we did an inventory just a few weeks back and weeded stuff we shan't use again. Nothing likely to come in, as we don't do presents. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Ionafan what are you on and can I have some? You keep achieving huge lists of stuff. I'm very jealous!
Only parking space at the gym this morning was in between a Chelsea Tractor and a very wet shrub, so did zumba in damp leggings. Got changed after my shower to find my water bottle had leaked so had coffee in wet jeans with zumba friends. Got few bits from Mr T including 2 lovely half price cyclamens - well what would they do with the poor things if I hadn't rescued them? If I'm strong minded I will give them as presents.
Cleared and washed out rather embarrassingly icky salad drawer in the fridge and mopped other bits of fridge.
Put a load of washing on.
Answered a few emails then had some lunch. Procrastinating over coffee reading this site but will keep thinking Ionafan and be galvanised into action.
For bird lovers - getting lots of blue, great and coal tits on the feeders now; not seen any fairies yet. A woodpecker appears with increasing frequency on my office window feeder which is about 2ft away from where I'm sitting. Hope he keeps getting braver, at the moment he flies off as soon as I move.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
