So am I, but I fear that without some considerable effort on my part that won't be happening. *shucks*
A log basket full of stix heading your way, Lamewolf.
Glad the poem went down well.
I have spent another couple of hours in the garden raking and bagging leaves, which counts as Flying as far as I'm concerned. One of the neighbours sent a chappie of hers out to sweep the path on their side, so that's a first. I'll finish it tomorrow.
Various bits of house degibbled, sink and hob sparkley, some of my very out of date paperwork has been frog-munched. I found a file marked 'Urgent/Easy' about half way down the In Tray that appears to have been there for some months ....Better is good enough.0 -
Can you explain please about the elf people are talking about
It's Elf Magic. We have two "teddy" elves come to stay for advent that come alive at night and get up to all sorts. They have their photo taken which somehow appears on my Facebook feed. Sometimes they are naughty (hanging pants on the Xmas tree) and sometimes they are nice (setting the table for breakfast). They go back to Santa on Xmas eve to write the children's names on the naughty list, or the nice list!
They bring advent calendars on the 1st and leave a mini hamper on the 24th (new pjs, DVD, treats)
Tonight they are going to be good and sweep up I think... (I could use the help, my floors are grotty)Bossymoo

Oh deary dear, LittleyDog is not well and I didn't get to her on time when I was on a conference call. Never mind, she's now sleeping and all mess cleaned up.
Have spent most of this evening doing more prep for DD moving out on Saturday. For the first time since she was born it will be just me and DH at home. There has always been one or other at home even when they've left in the past, but I'm really happy that they both have such nice partners now.
Was reading earlier your comments about rehoming cats and dogs. I remember when we wanted to rehome a dog, in the days before we ever had any, and the rescue place said not suitable because I worked full time even though home based! So we got a puppy - OldDog is now 14 (and a half) and we did have three dogs until SickDog died last year and I like to think they don't have a bad life with me....except for earlier may be.
Hugs where needed.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
