Gentle hugs, LW and to dusty too, for having an awful lot to cope with at the moment x

I'm home today, as I planned, but with a "plus one". DD was a bit sick this morning. Granny has come early though, so I can still get some work done. I just poked my head around the LR door and they are both asleep :D one on each sofa. DD only been a bit sick the once, but really wasn't up to nursery. Suspect she might be ok to go back tomorrow. She's been eating ok and even asked for warm milk which she's kept down so not a tummy bug. I think she just got a bit hot.

So not a lot done here between her and paid stuff. I will do some tonight, while granny takes DS swimming. DD might help me load the WM and fold some bits up. She's good with a duster ;)

    Right, paid stuff beckons again...

    Cloakroom Done!

A couple of the little jobs off the list, and DD collected from uni. After lunch, we packed up all the parcels (for DS1's business), which are now on the way to post, along with the doll's clothes (so that counts as something out of the house:p).

Practically dark again now. :( don't like this time of year much.

Update! but  I lost an earlier post...

    My list for today:
    [STRIKE]- S&S bathroom
    - Monthly finances
    - Clear and wipe kitchen work surfaces, table, windowsill and bookshelf ( this includes moving most of my birthday cards onto the LR bookshelves with the back of each card poked between two books so that they don't keep falling over! - I do this with Christmas cards too)
    - Water the plants on the kitchen windowsill
    - Wipe all doorhandles and light switches
    - Hoover and mop the kitchen floor; use a cloth to get into the corners and wipe the skirtings[/STRIKE] - also did hall and DR floors at the same time
[STRIKE]- Call round to see how my friend is coping with the double glazing people (I've known them for about 30 years, so it will be nice to see them too) [/STRIKE]and bring her to our house for lunch if she's too cold at home - she preferred to stay at home; the house is already much warmer :)
[STRIKE]- Write and post birthday thank-you notes to my DC and DGC[/STRIKE]
    - Write and post Flylady cards
    - Clean printheads on colour printer
    - Print out all b/w pages for Paul resource boxes; trim and laminate where necessary
[STRIKE]- Update church notice board[/STRIKE]- notices printed and laminated, will stick them up this evening
[STRIKE]- Get ready for Old Wives' meeting this evening; don't forget to collect mince pies[/STRIKE]

    I have also
    - made a tasty stew for tonight's meal :p
    - hung the holly wreath on the front door
    - put up two candle bridges, one at the front of the house and one at the back
    :)

Will now sit down with another :coffee: and write cards :xmassmile
  • Update - I am FREEZING -checked the boiler and officially I should be warm!

Did 8.6 km this morning - partly lovely walk along the prom with dsis and part doing banking, veg buying etc. Bought loads of cards ready for next year from Charity Shop - so am getting ahead of myself!
Have mopped kitchen floor and wiped all work surfaces.
Washer and dryer x 1 done and rest of washing still drying on the airer.

Special cards written - just have one more present to wrap and post to the USA then I am done!!

About to do more paperwork and make a phone call then I just may get out the knitting!!

Sorry about the BD LW - and hope the injection works as well as the first did later this week.

    Take care x

Ok, I'm officially Not Coping; when this big a BD gets me, I seem to start tasks and not finish, and end up trying to do 6 things at once and get nowhere.

So.... I've nabbed today's Official List, with a view to trying to get Properly Organised. Let's see where we are right now....

    Monday - Kitchen
    15 minutes....

Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors Decluttered; I need Mr LW to entertain Daisy elsewhere before I can vacuum as she's terrified of of the Big Noisy Vacuum.
Use a cloth to get into the corners and wipe the skirtings Needs doing.
    30 minutes to spare ....
Clean WM filter and drawer and DW too WM is clean (done the other day) and we have no DW
Find and wipe the worksurfaces Done this
Wipe all door handles and light switches to cut down on bugs
    Needs doing.
    Got an hour ....
Sort the cupboard under the sink Not needed; it's still completely tidy - after all, it's only been in 2 months!
Clean the window Job for Mr LW as I can't reach it safely
Sort through tea towels, table cloths etc and find the Chirstmas ones N/A - we don't have any special ones

    Extras
Write a list to stock up on Washing powder/liquid, pet food, kitchen roll, foil etc to see you through into the new year
Did this at the weekend; should now only need to do the Farmers Market shop (this coming Sunday) plus perishables such as milk and fruit'n'veg between now and New Year.

Hugs LW, we are all here for you sweetie, tomorrow is another day.

Been bowling with DS3, then bumped into his friends as we were coming out so I let him have another game with them and sat and chatted to another Mum. Quick top up shop on the way home, time for a cuppa now.

Looks like you are Properly Organised already, LW :) That should put the BD firmly in its place.

I hope your second hand injection (please note the careful insertion of a space between "second" and "hand" ;) ) works as well as the first, so that you get relief from the pain.

Dot trial day at nursery done.. she LOVED it!!!

Dinner cooking.. chicken and pasta.. lazy food!!
