Me again. Have achieved all that I wanted to and also washed up, put the last of yesterday's washing on airers and put dry clothes away. From the list, I have sorted the tea towel drawer and the top shelf of the undersink cupboard including sorting out medicines.

    Paid stuff now.
Spend less now, work less later.

Healing vibes for poorly dogs and coping vibes for dog owners struggling with them.

Now that we're into Advent, I'm going to pop a poem in a separate post, and I hope you like it. Ionafan, it's posted with you very much in mind, but for it's for everyone.

No matter how many times I read it, it works for me every time.
    Better is good enough.

    BC : AD

This was the moment when Before
Turned into After, and the future's
    Uninvented timekeepers presented arms.

This was the moment when nothing
    Happened. Only dull peace
    Sprawled boringly over the earth.

This was the moment when even energetic Romans
Could find nothing better to do
Than counting heads in remote provinces.

    And this was the moment
When a few farm workers and three
Members of an obscure Persian sect
    Walked haphazard by starlight straight
    Into the kingdom of heaven.

Morning all - and welcome to newbies

    My list for today:
    - S&S bathroom
    - Monthly finances
[STRIKE]- Clear and wipe kitchen work surfaces, table, windowsill and bookshelf ( this includes moving most of my birthday cards onto the LR bookshelves with the back of each card poked between two books so that they don't keep falling over! - I do this with Christmas cards too)[/STRIKE]
    - Water the plants on the kitchen windowsill
[STRIKE]- Wipe all doorhandles and light switches[/STRIKE]
    - Hoover and mop the kitchen floor; use a cloth to get into the corners and wipe the skirtings
    - Call round to see how my friend is coping with the double glazing people (I've known them for about 30 years, so it will be nice to see them too :) ) and bring her to our house for lunch if she's too cold at home
    - Write and post birthday thank-you notes to my DC and DGC
    - Write and post Flylady cards :xmassmile
    - Clean printheads on colour printer
    - Print out all b/w pages for Paul resource boxes; trim and laminate where necessary
    - Update church notice board
    - Get ready for Old Wives' meeting this evening; don't forget to collect mince pies

If I do all that, I shall be pleased!

(((Hugs))) where needed; clean spoons of all sizes are in the drawer and big ones in the jar on the side - please help yourselves; will throw a couple of sticks out into the back lane for the BDs. Hope everyone has a good day x

Thank you for the poem, Honey Bear. I think you know me better than I know myself.

I read that poem many years ago, but I'd forgotten it in the intervening years, and it's so beautifully put.

Just about to take DD to uni, then coffee I think. I have a bit of decluttering I want to do, and a longish list of little jobs as well.
