    my deepest condolences mummyroysof3

pigpen hope the head clears (and i hope the front room does as well-with help from others in the house)

had long phone call with step mum - shes coping, dads still in not another heart attack (hes had several) not clots in lungs or anything else theyve tested for. so hes still in bored witless and wanting to come home. hes not in pain but from what step mum says hes being one to the nurses. shes promised to ring me later but asked me not to visit as she could tell i was full of cold on the phone

went shopping this morning it was hateful, everyone pushing and shoving and no one gives anyone else a minute. in primark the cashier actually shouted to her coworkers "someone just thanked me!!!" after shed finished serving me. why do manners have to go out of the window at christmas?

got a birthday pres to deliver later then into the attic to find the deccys

hugs to all and i hope you are all well and coping with what life throws your way.

    Afternoon all

mummyroys sorry to hear about your grandad
pigpen hope your head and LR both clear soon
Mrs m-p hope you feel better soon, good news about your dad, just a shame he's bored!

Got up early and went into town. Got my fringe cut, took boots to menders and went to PO to send Xmas card abroad.

Then came home, had brunch and went on a dump run. Popped into the carpet shop to order new stair carpet and vinyl flooring for the landing.

Went back into town to pick up my boots and got myself some new perfume. I've decided to buy myself a few gifts, wrap them (I know!) and have my own stocking on Xmas day. There's no-one to spoil me, so I'm spoiling myself.

The fires lit and I'm about to start on my knitting.

Oh dear, pigpen didn't you have this trouble last year? I seem to remember you being upset about possibly not having a tree up? I'm sure it will all come together at the last minute xxx

I've just realised its chilly in here, now I've stopped moving. So the fire is on. I'll put the heating on when the sun goes down to get some of this washing dry. I've got MTV on but it's 2014 number ones, not Xmas music yet. Might do a playlist though as I've sync'd with iTunes and got my Xmas track on, hooray!

They did the same last year.. the difference is this year I don't actually care.. I'll be gutted to have no tree but its their fault and if I back down and do it myself or whatever they will do it again year after year so.. this year I have my mad on!

Phew. DDs presents wrapped. Tea out cancelled (:T)

Now relaxing with a mug of hot soup. Then I might start on some decs (although I've wiped down the outside of the front door and hung the wreath up). Will leave the tree for tomorrow or the kiddies might be upset...

Evening all, sorry to hear of your loss mummyroysof3.

I am shattered. I usually spend most of each day sitting down and today I was on my feet all day. DD is now moved in to the new house but my house is still a mess.

Tomorrow, I need to buy wellies, go to home bargains and get the house straight including putting up the Xmas tree, but I can't even think at the moment about where to start.

Oh and I'm getting asked silly questions about some things I'm selling on eb@y.

Night night all - DH is already asleep and I won't be far behind tonight. Hope you enjoy your tipple Bossy.

Can you believe, it's 22:00 and the Wolves are still Flying! Cyber-Flying, if we're being exact. Got something narrrrsty in the pc, so we've cleaned house completely, put it back to Factory Settings. Oh joy! Luckily I have all our personal files backed up elsewhere, so it will be a bit of a slog, but not difficult, to get everything back where we need it.

That sounds like a really good idea! It's nice to open something even if you know what is inside!

Had a lovely day. Popped into town and mooched around. Got hubby's Christmas present and had a yummy lunch. Then came home, watched a Christmas film and wrapped all the boys presents. Not many to do now! My ironing pile is still overflowing!!

I'm so sorry to hear the news of your grandad, Mummyroys. He will live on in your memories and in your heart.

I have had a productive day with a long afternoon nap! DG got up very early in order to get ready for a day on the Santa Specials at the heritage railway, and of course he woke me up far too early for my liking! I managed to get another half-hour or so, but I was a bit zombified this morning. However, I plodded on with work and have nearly finished the box that needs to be sent off asap.

Flying mainly consisted of the dailies. I did venture out into the garden at lunchtime to trim off the hellebore leaves - there are some lovely far buds ready to open up in the new year :) - but it was already getting dark and cold as the sun went down behind the oak trees in the lane, so I didn't stay out long.

This evening I have babysat while DS1 and DDiL1 went to pick up a bike that they had bought for DGD1 on the Bay of E. DH stayed at home because he was very late getting back from the railway, wanted his evening meal and needed to rest his voice which has gone all husky again!

Tomorrow we are taking DGD1 to see "The Snow Queen" performed by a talented local theatre group. I mustn't forget to fix the child seat and make up a picnic tea for DGD1 to eat in the car, as we won't get her home until very near to her usual bedtime.

It's lovely to hear about all the decorations going up in Flylady Land. Quite a lot of houses round here are already lit up, but I haven't seen many light bridges like ours this year - perhaps they're going out of fashion? Never mind, I shall continue to enjoy ours: I've never been someone who has to have all the latest things, and I enjoy getting out the old favourites each year.

Hope everyone has a restful Sunday x
