Your DH is very wise, jakes-mum, think how he/she would miss you.Probably best to wait until after your hols but it's still a lovely idea to get a rescued dog
This is our thinking too, I just wouldn't feel right bringing a dog home, giving it 2 months to get attached to us and then leaving it for 6 days, I feel it would be very cruel, especially if it was a rescue dog as it might think we had abandoned it or somethingand TBH, im already terrible about leaving the bloomin bird when we go away! and he's been with us 2 years now :rotfl:

Ahh I don't remember if you are a mum DreamerHelen, but as a mum I can say that NOTHING in this world would make me voluntarily walk away from my children! My eldest has said a few things in his time (comes from a long line of mouth engages before brain relations) but he will always be my son and I will love him until the end of time, there is nothing he could ever say or do to me to change that.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

DS went to watch the rugby with the school yesterday and managed to lose his £5 spending money *rolls eyes* seriously, I wonder at times about him, so if anyone went to the rugby on thursday and found a folded up fiver on the floor, it was probably my son's! Thankfully, as he's coeliac he had his lunch and dinner with him and I had as an afterthought bought him 4 bottles of water to take when I was in the shop the night before, but no souveniers or hot chocolate for him this yearSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Hiya folks
Joee - hope your back's soon better
Merrylegs - great news on the bloods and hope you enjoy your weekend
mcjordi - not a very good idea to try re-shaping a car but glad it's not too expensive and most important thing is that you're okay
Girlatplay - I totally agree with you about the weather. Dark o'clock at 4.00 and all the sh*t weather is not my idea of fun either  Roll on the summer.
We have the same problem here with beggars and they seem to be on the increase. I usually go Chrissy week and get them all a hot pie but don't give otherwise.
Emmap - that's a lovely thing to do at Crisis :T
Not been out today - it's bitter, raw cold today and I didn't really need anything so I'll put £1 in the pot when I've slurped my cuppa. I've decided that I'm going to put my money 'saved' from not smoking in the pot as well
I'm looking forward to the weekend also. The morrow I am out for lunch with some long-standing friends at the local Italian (quite nice actually) and then on Sunday it's Chrissie lunch with some of the neighbours at another local restaurant. So lovely that will be eating with good company and, of course, nice that the weekend will be free of cooking and the blasted dishes :rotfl:
Hope you all have a super Saturday
