Decided that since I've just done some shopping, I shouldn't need any more money for anything else foodstuffs/drink wise, so the change of £9.66 went into the pot. Hope everyone's had a good day!

Fantastic news, AlwaysHappy! I take it you're NOT receiving paper bills from SSE? If you are then get them stopped as that'll make you £6 better off per year! Not a lot I know, but if you stick that £6 in your pot it'll make you smile. :D I hope you soon hear about your gym money.

It is snowing here and I just want to cry :(

Why's that, GAP? Don't you like it or is it because you were indoors working? I LOVE snow and just hope we get some down yer this year!!!! :j

Yes, I guessed what it meant, mcjordi, just an odd way of putting it....I say no more! ;) Great going with the £4!!!

Well done on bringing the holding pot into play, the.new.me! :D Wonderful to hear £40 has been potted due to your friendly and grateful neighbour!! :j I understand you told him/her not to bother, but sometimes people are so pleased if they're unable to do it themselves that they're only too willing to pay.
Thanks Sue! Yes I did get your PM thanks. Have changed my signature.

Will be trying for a target of £50, won't be able to save too much but will try my hardest this time.

The amount doesn't matter, TMD, it's how pleased you are with it AND that you're saving that counts most!! ;) Thanks for sorting your No out and well done on the £1.31 saved today! :j

Oh dear, AlwaysHappy, you painted a very funny picture of yourself at work with your glasses and clocking your head on the board!!! :rotfl: Are you sure you should be going out unaided at the moment?! Do be careful as you're starting to sound an awful lot like someone else here on SPC, if you don't watch it you too could be like her!!!!

Oh decisions, decisions, DH said we shall wait until after our America trip, and if we are still as keen to have a dog then as we are now we will look at saving for one (and in the mean time we can keep going up the dog shelter . . . just incase . . . )

Your DH is very wise, jakes-mum, think how he/she would miss you. :(
£6 is a lovely lot, Hicksy, glad to her you're moving asap. :happyhear

You're saving very well, jimmy*c, very wise.

Went shopping in town today, DH went to pay the money in the underground CP, I went with him round the back o a car, and there crumpled up was..........a FIVER!!!!!!!!!!! :j:dance::j:dance: I could've danced all round the ruddy CP!!! :D Hubby thought I'd gone mad til he realised. • After all these years I've read the rules and now I'm a bit confused!
I pay for my shopping with a cc cause then I get points or cash back so does that mean any money from vouchers ect can't be counted in my SEALED pot total cause I transfer the money straight into my savings account? Also can I count the cash back money (from the cc) as it is transferred in the same way?
Yesterday I did put a whole 5p in my pot ,I think that's more roadkill than I had in all of last year.

    Evening

One more day to gooooooooooooooo. Can't imagine that next week will be any better than this week though.

Loads of luck for Saturday ETO. I would be too scared to do that, but I am sure you will be fine. Do you have a link to your sponsorship?

I will take your word to it re 2am Helen. If you say it happens, I believe you :D hope you enjoy(ed) your Christmas party. We had our work Christmas lunch today. It seems that the Italian definition of traditional Christmas turkey dinner is different from my definition!! It was nice though, just not what I expected.

I have dropped off all my giving tree presents tonight. Does everybody feel guilty as they walk into a police station? Or is it just me? Lol

    £2.09 potted today.

  • Evening All....

32b....Yes, enjoyed the Christmas Meal although it was touch and go as to whether I was going to be able to attend...but I did in the end and it was lovely to see everyone....

But tonight I am feeling VERY down....I made a silly thoughtless comment to my Mum and now I'm feeling awful about it....I have sent her an Email to apologise but I always feel like I'm not worthy of her love and therefore I worry that she'll just walk away from me....even though I know logically that she won't....

Anyway....I'm sure all will be fine and she's probably not even thought about it since I said it....but I'm just feeling like an awful thoughtless horrible person right now :(:(:(

Also had a rubbish day as I was feeling really ill due to the Antibiotics for the Abcess....so spent the afternoon in bed feeling sickly...

All in all it's been a RUBBISH day and I think I'm going to go to bed and write today off as a bad day...and hope tomorrow is better...

On the plus side...I'm Potting £2.50 tonight...

See you all tomorrow...and thank you for "listening" to my ramblings xXx
  • Sorry you're feeling crappy Helen. Youre going through a lot right now and I'm sure she understands that you didn't mean anything you said. Hope you're feeling brighter tomorrow. xxx
