OMG - I had a fab weekend with 9 brownies, taking them from darkest Peru, to London via the T rooms at the river, we had a orange party by Great Aunt Lucy, made marmalade, and rain sticks, bookmarks and suitcases, My paddington Bears had a great weekend, I am now trying to sort out all of the washing of clothes, aprons, paintbrushes, table clothes, bedding..

Hello fellow potters
I can feel the excitement for the annual pot opening! I managed to pot £6.40 over the weekend and I'm really looking forward to counting up my pot on Thursday. Not sure if I will have beaten last year, but that was my aim. It's been a crazy year for spending. We've celebrated our silver wedding anniversary, DH 50th birthday and our DD got married!!! A very expensive year, so I will be delighted if I've managed £100....:D
Lots of happy pot opening to you all xxSPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.830 -
Can I join for next time please. I now live on my own and working with CAP to get myself straight. This may be away of mopping up the little bits and pieces and roadkill, I find a few pence a month this way and used to give it to charity but not sure I can afford that now! Want to join SPC90

Well I never, DH called into Aldi for a couple of bits after work bread, milk etc. He walked in placed a £2, £1, 50p and 10p in my hand and said put that in your pot. I nearly fell off my chair :rotfl:
Have a good evening all,

Hellooooooooo Pottersssssssssss
I am back from my holidays, a lovely 10 days in sunny (and very hot) Majorca! Was ever so funny, as we didn't tell the kids we were going away. A few days before we told them it was my BIL's birthday and he was having a surprise party so we were going to stay over night in a hotel, I'm then nicking DS and DD's clothes while they are not looking and packing them in suitcases and locking our bedroom door 'no you can't go in my room! I've got all the xmas pressies on the bed!'. Night before, we pack them off to bed and have to sit and wait for them to fall asleep so we can shove the suitcases in the boot without them knowing.
Pack them in the car in the morning and start driving to the airport, get all the way to the airport parking, I gave them each an envelope, they open them to find 40 euros each. DS is looking at his, then at DDs, then at me, DD is going 'what's this for?' And I pulled their passports out of my handbag and said 'oh, dad and I thought, as we were driving past the airport anyway, we'd maybe just go on holiday'. DD said 'I don't know what your talking about!', me 'we're getting on a plane', DD 'when?', me 'now' DD 'but when?', me 'right now, as in we are at the airport and our suitcases are in the boot, now'
It was awesome! Unfortunately I didn't manage to shake this darned ear infection and have now had it 2 weeks (landing on plane, not fun) been to docs today and she was like 'oh, your ear is not happy is it? I can't even see your ear drum! Both sides of your ear cannal have swollen shut, that's not getting better on its own'. So I've now got drops, and if they don't help in 48 hours I've got a script for tablets and if they don't work in 48 hours I have to go straight back! I've seriously not felt pain like it, woke up at 3am one morning while away and it was so bad I was on the verge of going to reception and asking for a doctor. If DH hadn't woken up and found me pain killers I would have gone down
Anyway, money . . . 11 x £2 coins and a big handful of shrapnel in the tins, I am sooooooo trying to hold out till opening day! I think Sue should give me a gold star if I get there as it will be the first year I've made it:rotfl: I'm thinking I should go on holiday this time every year just so I can't open my tins early
EDIT: Sue, I really haven't forgotten your DH and am on the case, just holidays and pain getting in the way!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
