Anyway, money . . . 11 x £2 coins and a big handful of shrapnel in the tins, I am sooooooo trying to hold out till opening day! I think Sue should give me a gold star if I get there as it will be the first year I've made it
:rotfl: I'm thinking I should go on holiday this time every year just so I can't open my tins early
Well I'm next in the queue... for the Star :-)
Sounds like a great holiday minus the ear trouble, sounds like something my parents would have done, they did something like that when I was 9 ish they recorded us asking us where we would like to go on holiday and I wrote something like "Kent" and my older sister put disneyland paris, and we were actually on our way to Orlando...
I would have been happy with Kent lol
hope the ear drops work for you, I used to have no end of trouble with ear infections, I had a ongoing dose of sudafed tablets on repeatI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Jakes Mum, glad you had a good holiday but you shouldn't have flown with an ear infection. My niece nearly got stuck abroad with an ear infection. She only got home because she is cabin crew. She flew back as a passenger as the pilot wouldn't let her work.
35p potted today.
Not long to opening day now lovelies

Don't sound to down, Moonbean, and remember that whatever the amount you end up with, it'll still have been saved by YOU!!!!
Sadly bills are always a pest, especially when they're more than expected!
However, try to be happy and proud at what you've achieved. :grinheart PS, both of your tins can be included next November (2016) you'll have saved it after all.
Thank you for your kind words!
I'm just unsure what to do about the change I do have left.
I'm going to count it towards this year though i think
pop it in my savings so it's being built up a little more.:o
It's not a lot but hey money saved.
And thanks also,
I thought I was only allowed to really post about one pot.
My christmas one won't be a huge focus but I realised this ear that it's been a struggle to take it out of my budget at the same time as paying bills and other things:xmassmile EF: £10/£2,700 :xmassmile Fun:£10/£1,000 :xmassmile SPC#054 = £9.00 / £100.00 :xmassmile

I didn't know it was an ear infection till today when the doctor told me, I thought it was just a build up of wax or something as i've had it in the right ear every couple of months for years and every time I went to my doctor he said I needed my ears syringed as it was hard to see due to the build up (nurse wont syringe them though as ive had perforated ear so it never gets sorted)

Of course you can join us, Mrs Muckle and rainbowgirl1. A very warm welcome to you both! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Mrs Muckle - As Lynne says, you can start saving straight away if you wish, you're quite welcome. If you already have somee saving from throughout the year then declare it on Thursday with the rest of us. BTW. Why not leave the charities until you're better off, I think I would under the circumstances!
rainbowgirl1 - your Target of £400 has been put on, all the best in reaching it!!
Thank you so much for the help, Lynne, another gold star well earned. :staradmin
Please, Potters, bear with me for now, I've had huge browser problems on my PC today, I'm now using an old PC of DH's which seems to be doing the job....fingers crossed.
Crikey Westie, sounds as though you had a ball with your charges at the weekend, I'm so pleased for you and can see why you love being Brown Owl.
Good Heavens above, siju, what a wonderful, though extremely expensive year you've had, little wonder you won't really mind what you end up having saved - I sincerely hope you've done brilliantly!! Good luck and congratulations on your Silver Wedding! :grinheartstormpassing wrote: »Well I never, DH called into Aldi for a couple of bits after work bread, milk etc. He walked in placed a £2, £1, 50p and 10p in my hand and said put that in your pot. Excellent work, stormpassing!!!! :T Whatever you did to work your charms on him - keep at it, it seems to being working!!! :rotfl: Seriously, he's a gem!
Don't worry, savings my hobby, you're already in for next year - everyone else too! Next year will be great with you having saved a whole year!
Yep, you've a couple more days to save, Pollygarter. You've had a busy time, all best wishes in your new(ish) home. :grinheartDragon_Lily wrote: »Hi All
I had big surprise when I took my savings to the bank this morning. I had mis-counted. I had £350 not £300!!! :j:j:j
So I'm declaring a SPC pot of £350 (updated from £300)
Very well mis-counted, Dragon Lily! I've updated your Total, so unless you have a recheck.........!!Congratulations again!!! :T
Ahh, it's so good to see you back, jakes-mum, I can't remember the last time it was so quiet!!!! :rotfl: What a GREAT surprise for the youngsters! You take good care of that ear, maybe the flights played on your earlier troubles with it; anyway, I hope it's soon fine again. Don't worry too much about my DH, he's struggling but we're using hot water bottles to help. BTW. There won't be any gold stars issued at this stage, darn it woman, tis only Monday!!!!!
No 32b3, it's getting frighteningly close, as if!!!!! :j
You're welcome, Moonbean, though it wouldn't matter if you had a dozen pots, they'd all count!
Now, now Vicky, behave yourself, and keep potting your cash!Have a fruitful Tuesday, Potters, and don't forget.......just TWO  days to go!!!
Sue xx
NB: SPC Savers: 5th November is the new 2015 opening date!
