Hello again SPC Savers! I hope you're all having a lovely day. For those who might not be or who maybe low for any reason, here are some special {{{Hugs}}} just for you to help pick you back up.
Remember folks, tomorrow there will be just 6 weeks of saving left!!!! So save..save..save as hard as you can!!! :j

It's lovely to hear the youngsters had such a great day, jakes-mum. You hurry up and get shot of that cold, our DD has one as well so you're not alone.

WOW Anna, that's a fantastic amount potted!! :dance:Good saving.
Sue....She was on Holiday when it started and went to the GP there.....and then when she got home she made an Appointment for yesterday, but I kept telling her to go to A+E over the Weekend and she refused to go until Sunday....But hopefully these new stronger Antibiotics will help....I just feel so helpless right now :(

Aha, I see what you mean, Helen. It sounds as though whatever it is has hit her really hard so let's hope the stronger antibiotics hit it hard back and she's soon feeling loads better. Give her our best wishes for a speedy recovery please. :happyhear I can guess how you feel as it's awful to not be able to do anything for a loved one. Best you can do though is, be there for her and give her plenty of comfort. :kisses3:

Excellent saving, Moonbean! 6 weeks left so do your best!! :D

DH is feeling much better for being at home. If he does as he's told he should be fully recovered by Christmas.

Sorry I haven't potted anything lately, will try a bit harder.

Says it all then eh, Modesty....stay under the thumb and you'll do well. ;) It's marvellous to hear he's getting so much better. You can be forgiven for not thinking too much about your pot, you've had enough on your plate as it is.

Take care of that tooth, 32b3, and let's hope the infection has been fully cleared up. Good potting.
Is it just me or is tooth pain/face pain THE worst thing in the world

I'm sure there are a lot worse pains than tooth pain/face pain, Helen, but I'm sure the closer to the head infections are the more clout they give, maybe because of the brain...who knows. Trigeminal Neuralgia is EVIL and an elderly friend suffered on and off for years and was in agony with attacks. Re labour pains: It's bally painful alright, but such a beautiful pain because of what's at the end - THAT is worth the world!! :A

Enjoy the rest of Wednesday, ALL, and don't forget...those pots are STARVING!!

We had a coffee morning at work today with lots of homemade cakes, so some of the money I would have potted paid for those, as I had to sample quite a few :D

  • I can't wait to open up my tins and see how much money is in there. I started saving in the tins in January so it's not been a full year, I was unsure whether I wanted to open my tins in November but I think it's nice to have a challenge that doesn't start and end around the new year so I definitely will.

I've only recently started resorting to putting all loose change in my tins at the end of every day. Previously I just potted any 50p, 20p, and £2 coins and occasionally any loose change left at the end of the week but now potting all change at the end of each day has certainly made me cut down on unnecessary purchases . So for example if I fancy a chocolate bar that costs 60p and I've only got a fiver then I end up not buying it because it means I'm going to have to pot the full £4.40 change....which means that chocolate bar has effectively cost £5 of my budget for that week! So I end up deciding it's not worth it and have drastically cut down on little odd spends like that...which ends up being good for my budget and my waistline.

I completely empathise with the poster who had dental pain. I'm just finishing a course of antibiotics after having a tooth infection at the weekend and the pain was unbearable, I felt like I was ready to meet my maker. I have a high pain threshold but dental pain is just awful.

  • Hi All

Friday gold collection from my purse after going to the market with mum = £5.50. Pot now nice and heavy :D So looking forward to opening it in November!

I keep changing my mind about what to do with all the cash - spend it all on Xmas pressies or put in my savings account. I might split it between them both. I've got my new tin ready for November too, so next year I will be able to save for the whole year (I only started saving in Feb this year)

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Hope we get some autumn sunshine :-) x

DH & I will be off down to the beach again tomorrow and will thoroughly enjoy it. DD & youngest GDD are coming with us too, so should be lovely. For anyone who might not be or who maybe low for any reason, here are some special {{{Hugs}}} just for you to help pick you back up.

Don't forget folks, tomorrow there's little over 5 weeks to go!!!! So save..save..save as hard as you can!!! :j

Even writing that at the top just now, 32b3, thoughts went instantly to you. Enjoy yourself and - happy saving! :j

Not to worry, Chutney, sadly we can't save literally every penny...we all need to enjoy life too, sounds as though you did with those cakes!

You're a very astute thinker, Lolly88, keep that way of thinking going as surely you'll be able to save even more in the long run. Well done! :T I hope you're feeling so much better now and that tooth is infection-free. You're right, toothache is terrible....again closer to the brain. Heck I'm wise! ;)

Woo-hay Dragon Lily, brilliant saving!! Splitting it between both sounds a great idea as none of us know what's around the corner, so saving some just HAS to be good!

Hiya tatabubbly! Welcome back, I hope you had a fantastic time and really enjoyed it all. All the best now for the "House Fund".

LYNSEY.........where the devil are you????! :( You're missed a LOT so please hurry back - home. :kisses:

No saving for me so far this week, but we'll do the shop on the way back from the beach tomorrow, 2 birds so to speak...which will hopefully mean I should pot the fuel savings!!! :j

Have an absolutely WONDERFUL WEEKEND, ALL, and don't forget...those pots need plenty of FOOD!!
