  • Thanks Everyone.....Your warm wishes mean a lot....so I really appreciate them :)

Well we waited for just 2 hours in the Walk In Centre yesterday...which wasn't bad.....Mum got given some antibiotics....and told she could up her pain meds...but yesterday was just awful as she is in so much pain and I just felt helpless as she sobbed.... :( Hopefully she will be better today as the antibiotics start to do their thing....fingers crossed!!

No Potting over the Weekend but hopefully will be able to Pot even just a small amount this Week....things are very tight right now....

Hope everyone is doing well....Chat to you all soon xXx :)

Hello again SPCers! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and that the week ahead is just as good. For those who might not have done or who may be or who maybe low for any reason, here are special {{{Hugs}}} to help pick you back up. There's just over 6 weeks to go now so save..save..save as hard as you're able!!! :j

Thank you for the wishes, Kerry, we had a truly wonderful time. There's also a Nature Reserve there so we always spend a couple of hours watching what's around and taking photos. Then it's on to the beach and a good mile and a half walk! So rejuvenating whilst listening to the waves at the same time. So, yes, we really enjoyed ourselves. :heartpuls I hope everything's fine for you.

I bet you had a lovely weekend, 32b3, thoughts always go to you when I'm writing that on Fridays as I know you can never wait for the weekend to come! :j Great saving!

The troubles you get yourself into, jakes-mum, anyway, great going with the £24 saved in the pot!!
    Thanks Sue-UU

I was feeling a little guilty for not posting very much but sometimes real life takes over. I emptied the gold from my purse today, so I've potted £6.50. I think I've potted over £10 this week. Feeling really motivated now to keep potting as the deadline draws near. I even got some money bags from the Halifax today in readiness :D

There's no need to feel guilty at all, Dragon Lily, as real life has to come first for us all. So, if you can pop a quick posy on, fine, if not that's fine too! Lovely to read the highlighted parts above. :D

Ah, there you are at last, little_sweetie! :D Good to hear you're still saving - see you again on the 5th Nov.

Good to see you, Lucy, isn't it magical to see the little one whilst it's still in the protection of Mum's womb, marvellous! :A I do hope something can be done about your knees.

Soooooooooooo happy to report DH is finally home from hospital after his heart attack and quadruple bypass. ( They had said triple but needed to do 4.) :j:j:j:j

And I've actually potted a bit of change plus a 5p roadkill from the hospital. :D

Hugs to everyone and many thanks for your concern.

Such fantastic news about your DH, Modesty, and I hope carries on making great progress until his recovery is complete! Take care - both of you!

Oh, my giddy aunt gert, Saver-upper!!!! Somebody else used the word manic to describe their life, but I'm thinking they need to have a read of your post!!! I do hope all goes well for you all while you've so much going on, I sure as heck don't envy you one little bit, but I guess it's just best to be keep yourself looking ahead to the finished article, I'd need to for sure!! Good luck when you go to the In-laws, but where the kids are concerned...I know what my answer would be to the "who disciplines them" question, though I appreciate you're concern, nerves too! All the best for you all, for overdoing last year's Total too!

All the very best on your move, Helen, I'm sure you'll soon come to love your new home as much as the one you're in now. Don't forget - think positive. ;) I really do hope your poor Mum's soon feeling much, much better today, though wouldn't you have been better off phoning her GP as soon as it all began? My heart went out to you both at the amount of pain she's going through, but once the antibiotics kick in she'll soon be feeling a lot better. BTW, You're doing wonderfully with your savings this year, it's got to be your best so far!

    Well done Ben!

Excellent Moonbean, though why not use a holding pot (see the 1st post on page 1) in future so that you don't run yourself short?

£12.50 put in the pot after the shopping on Saturday evening...and 5p roadkill. :D

Have a lovely Monday, everyone, and keep filling those pots!!

    Sue x

I found 5p under my chair this morning while hoovering, I will assume the cleaning fairy left it there for me in appreciation of my helping out ;) so in the pot its gone

Fingers are now back to normal but now I have a stupid cold and sore throat so im snuffling away and its annoying me!

DD and DS went with their auntie, uncle, gran and grandad to the Duxford air show yesterday and I am informed (many times) that it was amazing! They didn't get home till 9:30pm and DD was desperately trying to tell me about it while her eyes were rolling like marbles in her head :o bless her, she was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow and her brother wasn't far behind her.

Am off to the post office in a min before I pick DD up from school so hopefully more pennies to come in a bit

  • Morning Everyone....

Well Mum is kind of doing better and kind of not....Her Pain has mostly gone but her face has swelled up like a balloon and the Doctor is VERY concerned about her....Has put her on MUCH stronger Antibiotics than the Hospital gave her and told her that if it gets worse then she is to get to the Hospital pronto!! I'm very concerned about her... :(

Sue....She was on Holiday when it started and went to the GP there.....and then when she got home she made an Appointment for yesterday, but I kept telling her to go to A+E over the Weekend and she refused to go until Sunday....But hopefully these new stronger Antibiotics will help....I just feel so helpless right now :(

Anyway....Thank you for your lovely words about my Saving...I AM pleased with myself this Year....Hopefully next Year will be even better!! :D

*Hugs* to anyone that needs them...Speak later in the Week xXx :)

Thank you all so much for your kindness. DH is feeling much better for being at home. If he does as he's told he should be fully recovered by Christmas.

Helen, I'm sorry to hear that your mother is so ill. I hope the antibiotics work well for her. (((Hugs))) to you both.

Sorry I haven't potted anything lately, will try a bit harder.

    Hugs to everyone. Keep well.

I hope the new anti-bs work quickly for your Mum Helen. Make sure you look after yourself too. It's my last day on anti-bs tomorrow. I had a tooth infection. It seems ok now though.
