Hello lovely potters. I hope you are all well. I'm very sorry for those of you going through troubles at the moment *big squishy hugs (unless you need more gentler ones) to the lot of you*
Does anyone sew? I want to make my own clothes but i am struggling with material and what to get from where.
I would love to donate to a giving tree. Can anyone help with finding one in my area?
Also, i ordered the new iPhone........ It was a big expense but won't be here for 4 weeks so i'm trying in the mean time to save hard so that it doesn't all have to come from my pot. It does mean i will have to raid the pot a little though so i may have to count up early and add to it before November.
I am still potting and have almost £200 in my holding pot. I'm so excited for november!!!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Ahh ty Sue, I have bought a few things from 7dayshop and mymemory (usually USB sticks as DH is a bit obsessed with them) you get cashback too
will have a look for the batteries.
I love the giving tree, though I still get so upset every year as I walk away and there's still all those names on the branches, DH was told many years ago that if anything happened to me he had to take the kids every year and get the names for me. It will always be a very important thing in my lifecrimson.addict wrote: »Does anyone sew? I want to make my own clothes but i am struggling with material and what to get from where.

I sew! have only just started on the whole making clothes thing as I was struggling to find clothes to fit DD due to this *rude word* skinny clothes fad. But I do make other stuff with my machine. I buy alot of my material from our local market. Dunelm and John Lewis sell material but its pricey but John Lewis do often have end of roll stuff they sell off cheap if you can find it, there are a few websites on the craft craft and more craft FB page, which I will now try and find for you . . 2 ticks . . .
https://www.facebook.com/westcoastfabrics - cotton fabric from £6 per mtr <-- thats one, I shall keep a looking for them
There was a Derby City Mission charity that collected for underprividged children a few years ago but not sure if its still running. . . .just looked and yes they do, they collect through INTU Derby shopping centre as well if thats close to you.

Hello
Thanks Sue and Jakes-mum. I would like to buy presents for them all. I think they do only get one present because when I was talking to the policeman last year about what happens if there are not enough presents, he said that Scotland Yard cover the ones that don't get covered.
£4.80 potted today. That was the lose change from changing back my euros.

Ahh yours must be run differently then (or we have waaaaaaaaaay more care/underpriviledged children ) its nice to know the police cover any shortfall in the presents so every child gets something. Thinking about it, I need to go on to toysrus as they sometimes have some good deals on before they change their offersSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Hi Everyone
Sorry I'm guilty of being AWOL. I've been away alot the last few months. Also, I've never been that good at doing online chat. Even my RL friends know to ring me rather than msg or FB me.I'm still quietly potting though and counting down the weeks til pot opening time!!

£3.51 potted today. It should have been £4.41 but it looks like the cafe I went to for lunch short changed me. They must have given me a 10p instead of a pound coin!!

Hi potters!
Just a quick check in again. My life seems to be getting more hectic than ever. I've got half a dozen Christmas pressies now, so it's going well. Need to get my shopping done by mid October, so I can start on my parents gift shopping.
I may have to break my pot a couple of weeks early. Mr Owlet & I are away for Christmas - have rented a cottage for some R&R. I might need my pot to contribute to the cost, which has to be paid by the end of October.
It's all coming round fast now. £3 for me this week :-)SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
