Helloooooooooooooooo potterssssssssssssssssssss
Ahh Sue, the 9 squares currently crocheted are now all sewn together (with one square unpicked and resewn as I sewed it the wrong way round ) and it definitely needs another row of 3(was secretly hoping 9 would miraculously be enough!) Been very lazy today, did my normal comps and some dailies, and then just lost my comping mojo so have done about 10 advents and then gave up for the night
back to my crochet I go!
No pennies today as we haven't left the house, am off to Mr T tomorrow so hopefully some pennies then

Hi Fellow Lovely Potters,
Still giggling at the word "potter". So i went to the pound shop and got myself a shiny new potting tin *giggles*. So excited to pot my first £1.24 today. 1p out of it was found at the tesco self checkout counter. This would be my first time "roadkilling" as I usually walk past money I see on the ground as in my mind I always saw it as stealing. No more!!! All roadkills from now on would go into my shiny new pot.
Thanks all for making this thread so positive and fun.£47605.33 outstanding in C.C (£8000 Interest free till January 2025)0 -
£1.45 potted today. £1 cause it's pay day and I wanted to put something in, and 45p from the change from my shopping.
Not doing too bad so far.

I'm still using a trusty whisky carton to save. It hold approx £700.
You saying that, Lynsey, has got me wondering how much mine would hold, truth is I haven't a clue; never likely to find out either as I can never wait to open it come November!! :rotfl:Kerry_Woman wrote: »Have potted £8.90. 5p of that was road change. My Mum said that I must have cats eyes to see the money, as found some money on the way home from work in the dark.
Sue - cough comes and goes. Finished a temp job today, but have a couple of hours work on Monday.
Keep taking care of it then, Kerry, especially out in this cold weather, it plays havoc with my asthma.I reckon your Mum must be right about you if you pick out money in the dark, still keep a watchful eye Kerry...someone has to keep the streets clear of such debris!!

I thought of you when wishing folk a good weekend earlier, 32b3, you're always the one that says most about it and how you start preparing for yours on Thursday nights. Why not! Well done with the potting.
Go on, jakes-mum! Push on with it as you're getting so close to the finishing line and the warmth and thoughtfulness will, I'm sure, be most appreciated.
It's only 50p, moohound, but you already know that all those 50ps over the course of a year really do add up! Patience, it improves.
Excellent "potting", cheexy! Well done too for turning that roadkill corner. It doesn't come anywhere near to stealing, but if you leave it there you're only depriving yourself because someone else will soon pick it up!!!
The stealing angle only comes into play if someone sees a person leave money having forgotten to pick it up...and then picks it up! I'd hope anyone of our potters would do the right thing and say "excuse me, but........" So, you and all of us are perfectly ok with your catch!!!:j
Not bad at all, sonicetomeetyou, be proud of your savings!Have a wonderful weekend, folks!! :j Enjoy every minute and save when you can! Keep warm too!

Evening everyone.
Well I have £7 of my weekly £10 left so far, will pot the £2 as I still have tomorrow to get through and it's bound to be my turn to pop to the shop for a paper and maybe a small treat. Will pot what's left of the £5 tomorrow.
