Just found another 57p in a drawer whilst I was looking for something so that's potted now too! Hoping all these little amounts add up!
Also really happy as I've left my bank charges in this month and they come out on the 1st. I've usually well spent them by now so that means no more charges when these go and I'm determined to not go overdrawn again. Might even pot the £50 a month that would usually go on them!
Having a thread here to talk in definitely helps doesn't it
Just noticed I am now a 'Money saving convert' too! No longer a newbie!Sealed Pot Challenge No - 492

A gold star for you, Helen :staradmin, many thanks to you both for the lovely welcome.
A very good afternoon to all Sealed Pot savers! I hope you're all enjoying the week so far. Take good care of yourselves, everyone, keep safe, healthy and...happy! Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those in need of them, take special care of yourselves.
BTW folks, our DD, for the first time in their married life has been saving £2 coins and the odd note during the last year and last week was thrilled to bits to discover she'd got the sum of £400!!!!!!!! :T:j:TShe was ecstatic!!!Probably fed up to the teeth with her Mum always nagging at her to SAVE, but at least she now knows....it pays off as you all know. I'm absolutely delighted for our girl and the family!!! She's already started again for next year!!
That's fantastic potting, Polkadotsandrainbows!! You're doing really well, keep your foot on the saving gas and you'll be in line for that £500!! :j
Alison - ask a local shop ahead of time so you can plan when to change your cash. Many shops are only too pleased to have some change. It's well worth a shot, outs were more than happy the year before last.
Great saving, siju, and a wonderful sum safe!Have a lovely week's holiday and enjoy it whatever you do.

Oh, that's just wonderful, Kerry, your tax man must love you!A great sum with the £51 also and thanks for updating your siggy!
Ok then, Helen, so was that worrying yourself sick about your Landlord ever worth it??! Did it help because you worried? NO!!! Try hard in future to reason with yourself and - if worrying about things won't help correct them - then you try hard NOT to do so!BTW, you're quite right, taking to yourself will do you the world of good. Brilliant saving this last few days!!! :j
Well done with the FB £5ers, jakes-mum, you did well to reason with yourself - a ruddy wonder you ever listened, but.....!!Good for you in ditching your naughty lady!
Many congratulations to you and Mr B, Modesty, 42 years is a heck of a time!!!!!! :TI'm so pleased you all enjoyed a really lovely meal together. DH & I have clocked up 43 & 1/2 years, where the blazes does all that time go to!!!
VERY well done, NobodysChild, £33 is GREAT savings for 2 weeks!!! :jNothing potted. Maternity pay sucks - will be £200 short a month when I return to work so fear I may not be able to take part next year. But I hope to get to the bank today - little one is better and the weather seems pleasant so farhave a good day folks.
As the others so rightly say, Hicksy, you'd just as well stick with your pot and save whatever you can when you can - where's the sense in not doing so?! You never know how fortunate you might be in getting roadkill too, so please, stick with us! If you only get a small amount during the year, it doesn't matter, better saved than not as Helen says!!
Shopping today so another £10er for the pot and 3p roadkill for me!!Enjoy a lovely Thursday, Potters! Keep adding new friends to those pots!

Especially now that i drive 2+ hours a day
As far as I'm concerned diesel has always been cheaper. The Evo was mapped for Shell V-Power, so had to run it on that all the time. Now I'm opting for Tescos finest at the pumps.
However I am the opposite....I hate how diesels drive, no power, no power, no power, then it comes in 1 hit and is out of puff. Change gears and repeat. New ones are better, but still nothing on a petrol engine in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm just rambling on now. If someone doesn't stop me I'll be here all day! So moving on, potted £2.47 today.0 -
£4.73 added to the pot today with more shopping to do tomorrow so more to pot
For those of you who remember my car breaking down last week... The car is FINALLY getting repaired tomorrow or Monday :j BUT the darling relative who borrowed it when it broke down has managed to damage a wheel arch, scrape a 2in strip of paint off the bodywork which has now rusted, leave two massive scratches and a small dent in the side of my car...
On a more positive note... the repairs are less than estimated! £212!! :j (That's not for the bodywork, which will be paid for by Darling Relative or their insurance company, once they actually get around to submitting a claim... Sigh...)
Ooooh jakes-mum if you're still selling those craft items, I'd definitely be interested! I craft as a hobby so am always picking up crafty items and if I can contribute to another SPC'ers pot...
Now off to do more FB sales which will mean more money for my pot :ASPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!

Yep, you're absolutely right Sue....Worrying doesn't do ANY good whatsoever....So there isn't much point in worrying until there is actually something to worry about!!
Thank you for my Star as well xXx
Aww you must be soooooooooooo proud of your DD for saving all that lovely Money and now she can spend it on something wonderful....
Potted another £2.70 today....It definitely is an easier Week when it comes to Potting so I shall take full advantage while I can...0 -
Hi Everyone
Not posting as often but still potting. Potted £2 in 50p today. Lovely catching up on all the new postings. What a lovely lot of supportive potters! Hickles they are so right any coins you can pot throughout a year will slowly add up. My DH opened his lose change box the other day and found it held £27(Collected over a year)! He cashed the coins in at our local paper shop and we spent the money on some lovely roses and clematis for the garden:staradmin Star from Sue-UU

Thanks dreamerhelen girlatplay crimson.addict sue-uu I guess I had a panic moment earlier. I am gutted that I won't earn enough to even get to work when I return but hey every little bit helps a? The truly upsetting bit is that I will have to use my mortgage savings to get to work and pay the £100 short on my wages each month - not entitled to any help with childcare etc. Hopefully the boyfriend can help
I have managed to get to the bank today - didn't realise there was a branch 2 miles away.... new town and all that. So only £356 would fit into bags but that's good! Still 3 and a half months to go!
I'll get a holding pot going again
I'll have to just bear in mind that there are people a lot worse off than me and that I'm lucky to be debt free (paid my car off 3 years early a couple of months ago).SPC#19 - 7-£666.54, 8-£489, 9-£264 10-£376 11- £305.8p 12 £329 13 - £315 14/£214 15 £177 16 £253 SPC 17 £0 of £250

Evening all and a bit of a "hit and miss" day here weather-wise. Lovely when the sun was out, but breezy when the clouds (some dark) came over. Lots of gardening done though.
hickles69 - yes, keep going as every little helps and you may well be surprised. Good luck.
jakes-mum - great fleabay sales - well done.
I have a loft full of [STRIKE]garbage[/STRIKE] nice stuff I'd like to get rid of.
Potted 4 x £1 coins and only £3 needed for the week - I'll get those tomorrow.
Anyone having issues with ants?? We have loads and I've never seen as many flying ants!! I'll get them though - they won't win.
