What a let down, jakes-mum, ah well, at least I can imagine it. What a [STRIKE]bally awful[/STRIKE] lovely thought. Maybe next time. :( You were so lucky with your In-laws gift bless em!!! :j

There you go Sue, I didn't want you to be disappointed again :rotfl: if anything will make you feel better, the thought of that will :D

I didn't get to keep the money, they just brought it down so I could count it up and change it at the bank for them :rotfl: but maybe that was a gift in itself as I do like to count money! :D. I only kept the £2 coins because I gave him the notes for them out of my purse (as they would have been very unhappy going to a bank when my nice snugly tin was merely feet away :D)

£5 in my tin today from another FB sale, plus done very well on my fleabay sales so will have a tidy sum to go in once I've had feedback to say everything has been received

Went into the bank today and spotted they had one of those coin counting machines in there. They've stopped taking pre-bagged coins now. So decided I had to give it a go.....got my pot and emptied it into the machine....counted up another £230.75, so that's £537.75 I've potted & banked in total this year.

Once the machine is done it gives you a receipt that you take to the teller for either cash or to deposit into your account. All free of charge, as it should be.

However it kept spitting out and refusing to take what I thought was a 5p coin. Had a closer look at it and it's actually a U.S. dime! Must have been given it in change without realising at some point.

Congratulations to you, Ruth, you've done brilliantly and I'm so happy for you!!!!! :j:T:j BTW, how the blazes do you make make CPS's and more to the point......what the he*l are they???!

Sue, CSP's are like cloth nappies for babies only the lady version for when aunt flo comes to stay. They are reusable and a lot better for your health than disposables. A lot of work-at-home-mums make them which is why i thought to ask here :) i hope that's ok.

Hello Sue-UU! I would like to join in the challenge :) My target is £500.

Then indeed you can join us, nicola2710 and Polkadotsandrainbows, and it's NEVER too late! A very warm welcome to you both! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

A gold star for you, mummytummy :staradmin, and 32b3 :staradmin, many thanks to you both for the lovely welcoming.

...and I've got to give you one (ooh, don't tempt me!) jakes-mum, after that epistle of a welcome you put on. :staradmin Ah so I got it wrong with your In-laws and the £92 then, I thought maybe it was payment for you to keep [STRIKE]quiet[/STRIKE] a smile on your face while they stayed!!:A Brilliant work with your fleabay savings, you're doing so well there - and not a stick of furniture left in the house!!! :rotfl:

So long as yesterday was a much better day, Helen, then simply let Saturday go. Life's mostly about moving on and we all have to do so - it's the only way we can create history! ;) Smile and look forward to the next good day, and remember...you're never the only one having a rotten day. :kisses3: and {{{hugs}}}.

Ah, but Spain's winters must be warmer than ours, Lynsey, and I just love our seasons...even if they do sometimes all come together! :( Yes, thanks, I feel a lot better today for sure. BTW, yes, I missed the Next sale as I couldn't remember when the previous one was!! :rotfl:

About time you re-appeared, Ben, but you're still saving so well and we're very forgiving! That's some excellent saving that you've already banked, fantastic work!!!! :T That USA dime was a slip up by the bank.

Excellent work with your 5K in 55 minutes, Kerry, you did really well. :T

That's a great idea to put a £10 float in your holding pot, Alison, at least you always have it by you.

Good to see you, Modesty, and great savings.

YOU bore us, GAP, however could that happen?! Tis a really strong wind down here again today, darned weather.
Sue, CSP's are like cloth nappies for babies only the lady version for when aunt flo comes to stay. They are reusable and a lot better for your health than disposables. A lot of work-at-home-mums make them which is why I thought to ask here :) I hope that's ok.

Of course it's ok, Ruth, though I don't think I was the only one who wondered about the acronym as no one else replied to you. Maybe it's because we don't have Aunt Flos to cater for, bless her. Sounds a good idea to cheapen things though.

The saving is going so well, Potters, just don't stop!

Enjoy the rest of your day, folks! .....and still keep filling them there pots!

    Sue x

NB: SPC Savers: 5th November will be the new 2015 opening date!

Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late, so please just ask, you're more than welcome.

Morning all and a strange day here!! Raining earlier and then some heat and now very cloudy and cooler - but looks like passing. Wait an hour or so and then plan the day. lol

littleDOTS and nicola2710 - welcome to both MSE and this thread. Good luck with your savings. Still over 3 months to save in this challenge and then a full year for the next one.

But, if you don't go to Spain for the winter, you'll miss theirs. :D
Hope you're feeling better by the way.

Anyone visit the Next sale yesterday?? I've never known it to be so quiet.

Potted 10 x £1 coins. £20 more needed for the week.
