I am so sad that you still don't have your rings. I can understand you not wanting to have so much money in the house now.

I ended up putting all of my spare money into my sealed pot at the end of each day and only having £5 in my purse so it was easy to keep track of.

The family member who was staying with me is not here at the moment so I don't have a problem now, but she may return.

I did find one missing item in her room before she went, but she claimed not to remember how she had it (she'd also had said she didn't know anything about it 2 days after it went missing either!). It had been missing for over a year, and she said she found it in her dad's house. It was clothing, new when it went missing and clearly used when found.

If she returns I will be expecting her to start paying her way, but she may find that a step too far.

Well now I know why the in laws have a safe in their house... although everyone is saying he wouldn't do it - one ring my boyfriend bought as a first guft 12 years ago and the secod was a graduation gift from him. So it makes it that little bit worse.

Glad your thief is no longer living with you... hopefully with no need to return!!

It's horrid being on guard all the time. I have the money hidden in the garage at the moment ha ha. Impressed with how much I have saved so far as been on maternity leave since March - and the pay is pants but hey ho :)

Managed to somehow collect 4 £2 coins this morning so they are now in my tin - so heavy now its moved to the floor!

Helped a friend with her tombola for animal rescue - so quiet only made £20.

Posted another eBay sale off a top that sold for £6.

Brought a lovely new scarf for £1 at the sale.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Welcome to the challenge littleDOTS! :)

Pull up a chair and get comfortable, Sue-UU will be along soon to give you your number. In the meantime perhaps you can read the first post and get to know the rules of the challenge. Please post as much as you are comfortable with, we are very nosy interested in learning about different aspects of people's lives! :)

    Hello all,

I wanted to post here today to say hello and apologise for being AWOL (again!). My potting has slowed mainly because I haven't been doing so many hours at work and I have been turning to smoking to cope with life's stresses (I know it is very naughty and I am cutting back). I am also hoping to have more money as I have now joined Slimming World so I won't be wasting my money on rubbish food.

Also at the risk of upsetting Sue-UU even more, somebody mentioned a few days ago about Christmas. I love Christmas and have even started planning for it. Don't worry I wont sing any songs *puts hand over mouth to stop myself*.

I have got about £14 in in £2 coins in the holding pot that I am hoping that I won't need before payday (13 days and counting!).

Sue-UU I have been keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts, not to pry but I hope that everything is ok as it can be. Offering safe and squishy hugs where accepted / needed to anyone having a difficult time and celebration jumping jacks to those who are celebrating good news.

    Take gentle care
    Lucy xx

A shiny gold star for you, Lucy, many thanks for the lovely welcoming. :staradmin Thank so much for your kind thoughts, I so appreciate them and no you're not prying at all. She has another appointment with her Neurologist in September and they're looking towards doing a "contrast test" to see just what parts of the brain and body are affected most, though I don't know what happens as a result of that. At present she seems to in remission though she still has a lot of problems with her left eye mostly affected a lot by the sunlight. She's remaining positive, we all are! Do please take care with ciggies Lucy, you don't want added problems as a result of lack of money and additional health problems! It won't make life's stresses any better and in fact heightens stress as soon as you take the first puff of the day!!! Now then, I'm having as many thoughts for YOU as you are about us, so beware. Love, Sue :kisses3: I'll try to send a PM soon.

Hello again all Sealed Pot savers! I hope you're all enjoying a superb weekend, saving too of course, but generally doing what you want to do. Take good care of yourselves, keep safe, healthy and...happy! Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those in need of them, take special care of yourselves.
Sorry to be late back, but not a good week for me, illness wise, but I'm feeling a bit better now.

Wonderful news about your good fortune with the car, Selene, I'm so happy for you. :j

By heck, you hate winter with a passion, GAP, let's hope Scotland has a few mild times this next winter or at least plenty of sunny days to keep you smiling. :D

Ahh Sue, I was tempted to enter today with a bit of Irish dancing or something, but I'm not sure you could take it :rotfl:

What a let down, jakes-mum, ah well, at least I can imagine it. What a [STRIKE]bally awful[/STRIKE] lovely thought. Maybe next time. :( You were so lucky with your In-laws gift bless em!!! :j

Sounds like you have a right ignorant delivery fellar, Lynne, what happened to manners with him I wonder! I so hope your living in Spain dreams come to reality some day.

    Hey really random.

I have a terramundi (sp?) for the little one and want to empty it without breaking it (it cost £8) there is a mix of notes and coins - any tips?

Oi Hicksy, did you never read the tips etc on Page 1?? :naughty: I've had a whole piece there for years on exactly how to empty Terramundi without breaking them!! Hang on a bit longer and you can get junior to read it to you!! :rotfl: I can understand you having emptied your pot, and a great shame the rings weren't in them. Now don't forget to bank it ASAP for goodness sake!

Great saving, Lynsey!! BTW, I'd go with your thoughts and just spend 3 months in the winter in Spain - it would never be possible, just me dreaming and......actually, I'd miss our winter anyway so forget I spoke!

Congratulations to you, Ruth, you've done brilliantly and I'm so happy for you!!!!! :j:T:j BTW, how the blazes do you make make CPS's and more to the point......what the he*l are they???!

So do I take it that you're not weighing your pot, 32b3! ;) Can't say I blame you to be honest, I'd be a bit concerned about dropping them.

That's a nice sum saved, Kerry, good for you.... :D

......you too, Westie, we're all going great guns!! :T

Flippin heck, Alison, you're doing marvellously...keep right at it!!!

Don't belittle that 60p, Helen, you still saved it so it has to be good! ;)

Have a great Sunday, Potters! .....and keep filling those pots!
