Flung some change in the pot over the weekend but I can't remember how much. Think I remember a £1 coin going in with it but it doesn't matter as it's always a surprise for me in November anyway :)
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
  • Hi - can I join the challenge late this year?

I did the challenge in 2013 (my number was 1789) and did do it last year but never got round to officially joining.

I have had a sealed pot on the go since April. I have just asked to join the pay your debt by Xmas challenge so I am thinking that this challenge will go towards that.

I probably won't post regularly but will keep up with everyone's progress and hopefully get inspired to stash as much as possible into my pot!!

Thanks for letting me join in again :j.

Meanwhile don't forget to re-read the first post to double-check the regs and note the new date of opening.

Welcome to Nows the time....Good to have you back here with us :D

I'm a bit fed up of this Weather....I'm all headachy and hate being hot and sticky!! Roll on Winter I say!! :D:D:D (Please don't all shout at me ;))....

Anyway....I Potted 75p yesterday....and have Potted £1.70 today...Still no notes, but that's okay....I shall let the pennies and silver and pounds mount up and see what I end up with...It's better than spending it - In fact, I'm so used to not having spare change in my Purse that I think I'd be rather disconcerted to have money jingling around in there!! LoL :)

I'm off to bed for a couple of hours as I'm doing the Night Shift tonight....Hope you ALL have a GREAT Evening... xXx :)

Sorry for my absence, life has been hectic recently. Hope everyone's doing well :)

£1.33 potted today courtesy of Mummy Selene :j Will be potting £1.71 of my own change when I get home, although potting has slowed down for the moment as I'm currently saving up for a crash course :D

By the way, has anyone else started keeping a stray penny in their purse ever since reading jakes-mum's comment about pennies always attracting friends or am I the only one? :o

*prances into the room with hands above her head in a clumsy version of swan lake, tries for a pirouette but falls on her backside as her mother wouldn't let her take ballet as a child*

I thought I'd better make an entrance as I keep going AWOL :D

Ahh Helen, you'll hear no complaints from me about winter getting its backside here! Especially as that means CHRISTMAS! :xmastree: :rotfl:

Selene, you keep your penny where it is, me purse has not been empty since I started doing it years ago, and that's with 2 kids constantly with their hands out! :D

A lovely jubbly £2 coin in the £2 coin tin and 17 whole pence in the shrapnel jar, tis filling up nicely.

Now I must drag 'himself' off to bed as I'm shattered!

Remembered after getting window screen fixed I was able to claim some back so got cheque on way. Also got gas and electric bills through this weekend they owe us £80 so will be potting some of that.
2016 was both financially and emotionally. 2017 will be our year.
