Morning all, a grey day here...............but thankfully not winter.
Better expected later - as in warmer. lol
nows the time - welcome back and good luck with your savings.
Potted 3 x £2 coins and 4 x£1 coins = £10. £15 more needed for the week and I'll get some of that later.
Weighed my pot and it's a healthy 6.4kg.
I can't remember my weight though (or age).

Lynsey
Well done Lynsey - I've just weighed my two pots and they come to 6.1kg
It is raining in my neck of the woods and I have to go out soon, so I'll need an umbrella.

88p found in a spare handbag so into the pot it went :j I'll weigh my pot later and see what it weighs, only estimating 3.5kg or thereabouts though.
The car has broken down  Getting quotes from two garages today to fix it -- first one has quoted £262, still waiting to hear back from the second. At this rate my Savings Pot is going to be redesignated the Car Repair Pot :rotfl:

Nooooooooo *sob* It is winter here(well, not quite but nearly) we haven't had a summer yet. Two days in the office with the fan on does not count as summer. Yesterday it was raining and I didn't have an umbrella (I am jinxed with them, they always break). When I got home I went to say hi to Little Miss Gap and she asked "What happened to your hair?" whilst stifling snorts. I went to look in the mirror and it was indescribable. Think Monica in Friends "It's the humidity!" but without humidity, just rain.
Got a £2 coin in change yesterday so in the pot it went along with a 1p and something else (think it was 10p).Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76
300 271 payments to go.House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

Don't know why but it wouldn't let me press Return to get to a new Line!! How annoying!!
Anyway....I was going to say - Girlatplay....sorry hun but I HATE the Summer....it's probably a weight thing with me, I just feel hot and sticky and miserable....I tend to wake up in Winter....After all we have Halloween, Fireworks Night, sshhhhhh (Christmas) and then my Birthday in January...so Winter is definitely a good thing for me....But I hope you enjoy Summer while we have it and I shall try to cheer you up in Winter...deal?
Had a REALLY lovely Day....and VERY useful and thought-provoking....
AND I'm managing to Pot a whole £2....well, 2 x £1 actually....but I'm VERY happy with that0 -

A very good afternoon to all Sealed Pot savers! I hope you all had a really lovely weekend and are enjoying the first couple of days of the week so far. Take good care of yourselves, everyone, keep safe, healthy and...happy! Love and {{{hugs}}} to all those in need of them, take special care of yourselves.
Don't worry about not being able to visit us so often, Hicksy, you can be forgiven with that bundle of joy to care for. :A It's just good to know you're saving so well.Lynsey wrote:Sue - yes, it's a lovely part of the UK and very scenic. I'll tell you what though, it's made me appreciate how lucky I am with my grocery shopping etc. Pretty pricey in the local villages and I'd imagine you're paying 20%-30% for the "luxury". I'm happy with what I have and would rather visit the scenic towns and villages when wanted.
Isn't that always the way when visiting tourist type places, Lynsey, but as you say..it does make you appreciate your lot at least. You did well spotting the grubby £1 - though who cares about the dirt!!
Keep those boots close by, scotmumof3, you may well need them again this summer with the flippin jet stream messing us about!Though I'm hoping not, you know that, you Scots get a raw enough deal as it is...except for that beautiful scenery!! :grinheart
alisont wrote:I've had to move my tin to the bottom of the wardrobe - it was getting so heavy for any of the shelves!
That must be a good sign - not bad since I only joined this challenge about a month ago:j
That's some fantastic saving you've done, Alison, keep up the wonderful work, and great going with the fleabay sales!! :T
Good work, Dragon Lily!
Don't worry about the absence, Selene, so long as you remember to carry on saving that's all that counts!BTW, not sure whether you and jakes-mum being the only ones doing anything is a bragging right....most of us do the opposite to what she does!!:rotfl: The phrase curly wurly cuckoo comes to mind whenever I think of her!!!
Yes, she knows I'm [STRIKE]completely serious[/STRIKE] only joking! All the best with the cost of your car, blessings at times, but very pricey when not.
jakes-mum wrote:*prances into the room with hands above her head in a clumsy version of swan lake, tries for a pirouette but falls on her backside as her mother wouldn't let her take ballet as a child*
I'm still coming to terms with your sentence above, jakes-mum, to be able to concentrate on anything else you wrote. I have a terrible picture in my mind so I'm off for a lie down too! :rotfl:
You're really doing the family proud, Daddybear, brilliant work!! :j
Oh dear, GAP, you sound a right mess with your hair, and if it's indescribable to you then it HAS to be shocking! Just think if it were winter it would possibly be better - or not! :rotfl:LoL Jakes-Mum...Shhhhhh!!!! Don't mention the "C" Word or we'll both get in trouble with Sue!!
Don't you worry, Helen, I have an eye on you two! I can't believe the C word has been spoken about already - in July!!! Before much longer you'll be wanting to wish each other a Happy New Year - NO - don't you dare!! It's great to hear you're happy with winter, being a lover of nature I love all the seasons, all have something wonderful and beautiful about them. However, I go along with anyone about summer being bl***y unbearably hot at times!
Shopping done again and another £10er in the pot along with a separate £2 coin DH made me take! :j
You are all saving so darned well, everyone! :T Keep it going as the time will soon pass by and November will once again be upon us. Save as hard as you're able.Enjoy a lovely Wednesday, Potters! .....and do keep those pots clinking!
