Thanks, scotmumof3 and Sue-UU!
The £262 quote was cheaper, but the garage I bought the car from are contributing £100 to the repair, my mum is helping out with £87 as she's been using the car a lot this past month or so, which means I'm only going to be £75 out of pocket (assuming the car doesn't show up any problems when they strip the engine) :j
£1.51 potted today -- £1.50 in duplicate commemorative 50ps I'd kept "just in case" I didn't have them (my commemorative 50ps were in 3 different places. Now 2) and a stray penny that appeared out of nowhere; I found it in a drawer I'd decluttered last week and distinctly remember that there weren't any coppers  I think I must have a Casper in my flat leaving me money :rotfl:
I've just realised that I get paid three days in a row this week :j

I hate winter as much as you hate summer. It's likely a weight thing for me too but the opposite from you. I am so cold all the time, even with multiple layers on. I like Halloween, Fireworks, Christmas and other people's birthdays (!) but I just feel so miserable with the weather. Who's idea was it for me to be born in Scotland?? I just want to hibernate from November to March. I am only properly alive and happy when the warm sun shines. But anyway, Deal!Oh dear, GAP, you sound a right mess with your hair, and if it's indescribable to you then it HAS to be shocking! Just think if it were winter it would possibly be better - or not! :rotfl:
It would absolutely not be better in winter, it would be worse! In winter it rains every day here, not just 5 days a week (summer!) and every umbrella I ever own breaks so I'm always wet and freezing. I have a hat but really, that is just as bad hair-wise. Think helmet hair
Anyway, I'm going to pot later and I'm not sure how much it will be yet. I have 2 x £1 coins in my purse and as long as we don't go over the shopping budget, that's what will go in but I will report it for definite tomorrow.

Morning all, a grey day here...............but thankfully not winter.
Better expected later - as in warmer. lol
nows the time - welcome back and good luck with your savings.
Potted 3 x £2 coins and 4 x£1 coins = £10. £15 more needed for the week and I'll get some of that later.
Weighed my pot and it's a healthy 6.4kg.
I can't remember my weight though (or age).

Hey hanks Sue-UU.
Another £5 into the pot. My little boy is quite intrigued - can't wait to get him to pop the money in for me.
Goodness knows what I'll be saving next year. Going back to work in November and the child care fees is £50 a day *gulp*. Well I'll have 21p left over each day

Ahh Sue, I was tempted to enter today with a bit of irish dancing or something, but i'm not sure you could take it :rotfl:
A lovely £15 fb sale yesterday for the pot and a £3 fb sale today :j should be some more sales tomorrow (fb and fleabay) so hopefully more pennies raining in the pot soon.
I am supposed to be making a coffee cake as I have the in laws turning up for a weekend visit today and MIL does like there to be my special coffee cake ready for her arrival but ooooooh I can't be arrised to get out the chair and am currently looking for ANY reason not to have to go and make it! Which I know is completely lazy as my beautiful artisan mixer is sat on the side ready to do all the work, so I only have to weigh the ingredients, chuck them in and chuck it all in the oven, but the kitchens so . . . . far . . . . awayyyyyyyyyyy!
*sigh* i'd better go do it or i'll be in trouble *walks out as slowly as humanly possible . . . . *SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

What do you do with the commemorative coins... I have a few of them, from 2012 olympics and something else i can't remember right now.
Do you sell them or just keeping hold of them?0 -
See!!! Keep a penny in your purse and it attracts friends!
Found another 2p coin today -- my penny must be very popular with the local coppers :rotfl: (Pun unintended, I swear :rotfl:)What do you do with the commemorative coins... I have a few of them, from 2012 olympics and something else i can't remember right now.

I keep them -- I've recently bought the Olympic book on Fleabay for £10.99 to store the Olympic 50ps in, but I've made a deal with myself to collect only what's in circulation, eg not buy them for £5+ so I doubt I'll have the whole collection for a long time particularly the rarer coins. However it's a bit of fun searching my change for commemorative 50ps and dateless 20ps so why not?SPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!
