• Hello! Thank you so much for my birthday wishes. It's a mad house here at the minute as I have family staying with me, I'm slowly going insane so keep an eye out for flares or messages in a bottle. Probably an empty vodka bottle lol.

I haven't been spending much money which is good, but the lack of change is bad! I've put 90p in my pot this week and cannot put any more change in as I don't have any!

I have received a letter telling me my income is going up.. by 90p a week lol. What is it with me and 90p at the minute?

My birthday was wonderful, my jaw hurt the next day from laughing. I'm considering starting a blog.. I have quite a lot going on (saving for christmas, paying off debts, studying a new career etc) so it could be quite nice to have somewhere to document how it's going. So on harder days i can look back and see how much I've accomplished to help me push forward. I haven't decided for definite yet though.

    How is everyone doing?

I wish to leave you with some fun little words from a very clever 4 year old. He also has a little pot, he saves our change (mostly 1p/2p) and is hoping to buy himself some more trains (the ones he collects are just shy of £10 each). While talking to him this week and asking how his money box is doing he shook it for me and said "hear that? it's got lots and lots and lots and lots! but I need more and more and more and more!" Don't we all feel like that ;)

  • Hi all

Had a really bad cold last week and was starting to feel better now I have the cough from hell! :( Glad it's the end of my working week (only work Mon - Thurs). I have decided to pot any £1 or 50 p coins left in my purse on Fridays, so potted £3.50 today.

Been thinking I could make some extra cash with my knitting skills - selling stuff at craft fair or local shops. Will check out a shop I've had my eye on this weekend.

Hope everyone has had a good week and good potting:). Have a lovely weekend

    Hey everybody!

Haven't spent much money today as went to ikea and BF paid on card. But managed to get a drink and some chocolate on the way to his parents. So I'm mentally potting £3.59 as left tin in the flat.

Hope you're all having a good start to your weekend!

88p in the pot for me tonight. DH had to pick up DD and her GF from the airport today( £3 just to park for 5 mins unbelievable!!) so most of my change went on that. At least they are home safe and sound and by all accounts had a wonderful time. :):)

  • Morning Everyone :)

Well my Pot was very nearly full so I decided to empty it and put it in the Bank....I'm a little wary about having so much money in the Flat....you never know after all and I would be gutted if someone got in and stole it!!

So I sorted it all out and removed the Notes and Gold Coins....And I'm Banking (wait for it!!).....£350!!! I'm sooooooooo thrilled with that!!!! I can't believe I did that just since November....Some of it will need to be used before Christmas....But I'm okay with that...I'm just so thrilled that I managed to save that amount....I'm hoping I might be able to make £1000 in total by November....!! :D

So I've put it in my Signature....So I don't lose track of what I've managed to Save this Year....

And I have started again...Have put most of the Silver Coins into a temporary Pot and will get a new (cheap) one during the Week....

Am out all Weekend so I'm hoping there will be some to Pot across the Weekend :D

Hope Everyone is well.... xXx :)
  • Decided to put £20 in Notes into my Temporary Pot....so I'm actually going to Bank £330...have adjusted my Signature.... :)

Just about to go and get ready as I'm out all day today and tomorrow....

I'm almost positive I'll have something to Pot later on....and I'm looking forward to it....Feels weird starting all over again with a new Pot....but I AM soooooo thrilled with what I've managed to save over the past 4 months.... :D

See you all later on xXx :)
  • Is it too late to join this challenge???

I want to get my overdraft paid and closed this year so I'm hoping to stack up £500 by Christmas to cover it.

Started off already anyway with a couple of quid in change I already had lying about

How amazing would it be to save all that much with money you don't realise isn't being spent! Exciting times

Looking at how well you're all doing already I know that I'm going to nail it!

    Have a great day everyone!!
