It's just, just as i built up a buffer in my bank account and everything was looking like it was going to work out i had a massive car bill to pay for and now i need to find all the money for Tax and Insurance too. Oh well. Life's not all about money i guess.
It doesn't help the situation though when you are trying to save money but having to fork out money for other things!
It'll all work out soon enough! A massive well done for potting £9 odd, every little helps! And you will get to your target, we've got 8 months yetx

I really need to come back and visit this thread more often, I've somehow managed to unsubscribe myself it looks like
Not had a chance to read all the posts so hope everyone's doing well with their potting
Fab news -- my parents are very impressed with how much I've saved in the last three months since I started work (£245 in pot, £300 in bank -- now gone towards car, £300ish for brand new freezer and washing machine back in the Boxing Day sales with 5 year cover) and have informed me today that they will be splitting the cost of my car insurance and my mum will be paying my car tax, just for the first year, to help me continue with my savings and build up an emergency fund. So my £245 potting money will be put into an ISA instead of being used for tax/insurance :j
Celebrated by buying a new pot (I know I was supposed to do that last week, but I couldn't justify spending £3.60 on bus fare to buy a 99p pot :rotfl:) which says, "One day, I'm going to be a millionaire" Don't know about a million, but you know what they say: Aim for the moon -- even if you miss, you'll be among the stars
Planning on starting a debt free diary soon, must try to find more opportunities to fill my pot
Sue-UU, could you please update my number (#080) in the second post to include a goal of £1,500, if that's not too much trouble? Thank you! :A
Ooh, forgot to add: christened the new pot as soon as I walked out of the shop with the £1.01 change from the cashierSPC #0800 -
