2016 was both financially and emotionally. 2017 will be our year.
  • Morning People :)

Managed to see a Doctor yesterday and she gave me some Antibiotics so hopefully that, alongside some Painkillers, will help me....I'm feeling a bit better this morning....although that might be because I slept from about 5pm last night, woke up briefly around 7pm and then slept again until about 5am....So I've had a REALLY good sleep!! :D

Glad to hear that Miss Lily is feeling better Jakes-Mum....that's good news....

Got a busy old day today....Am leaving the Flat around 8.30am-ish and probably won't be back until about 9pm....But it should be a good day with a variety of things to do....so I'm looking forward to it....

Am Potting £4.95 this morning....which feels GREAT :D

Hope you ALL have a WONDERFUL Day xXx :)

A very good afternoon, one and all, I hope you're all enjoying a good Wednesday and, of course, saving so very well! For all members of our family who are unwell, please take care and here are special {{{hugs}}} for you all to get well very quickly! Take care, Potters, save cash whenever you're able and enjoy the rest of your savings! :D

We spent the whole weekend screwing....................

......................... But we did finally get all the shelves up. :p

We had a list of 10 DIY jobs that needed doing, so we got an ODD job man in.

He only did jobs 1,3,5,7 and 9. :D

Well you did ask for it. Lol

    Lynsey

Well, I expected a comical retort...and got a brilliant one and oh so very funny!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Excellently put, Lynsey, and thanks so much for a bally good laugh for DH & I!!! I simply laughed out loud and had to share it with hubby.

I've never heard the"Fifty Shades of Grey" joke before either, but read it to DH in true Zummerset dialect, though we're both from 'ampshire but very little difference in the lingo between the two, though if folk are broad Somerset folk that's a different matter. A fantastic giggle again and isn't it amazing how the imagination sees it all as the script unfolds  - well, mine does! :rotfl: I've just C&P'd it to friends who'll love it too.

Thanks a lot for the great wit, fantastic!

I hope young Lily got on all right with her finger problem, jakes-mum, bet she won't be so keep to go on Jakes Mum in future, though being an offspring of you?????! PS. Just read your latest post and pleased to hear things aren't so bad for her. :A

A good job we're all different eh, 32b3. Re the stars, of course you don't have a 'dark' sky there due to the lights, here in 'the sticks' the stars are often soooooo beautiful and foxes howling at the moon (well not quite but. I love to hear them through the summer. Trade-offs for everything.
Ooh Sue - wonder if it will be the 5th march (is it your special day)??. My youngest soon to be middle is 14th and hoping she is out way before then!!

I went to see the film of the moment last night and did wonder whether that would get things started but alas - nothing! :D

It is indeed, chasingthedream, also for Caz another of the family here, we're SPC twins. :D:D BTW, maybe it's not THE film that might strike a cord and set things off, but what you do after it!!! :rotfl:

Very well done to everyone who is making savings and contributions to their pots. I'm just dropping in as I haven't been on for a while due to work commitments. I have been potting a very healthy few NOTES and pound coins in the last few weeks :)Pots are starting to feel like they mean business. They're almost screaming at me to put change in!

jimmy*c, that's the sort of thing we love to hear, that saving is really making a difference to your life. It's so addictive one you begin, but what a splendid addiction!! :j

Good to see you popping up from down under, mummytummy!
Not potted in a while because I simply have not had any change to pot. Have scraped 71p together, need to keep doing this and posting to keep it at the forefront of my mind, big thanks to all who post you really make my day.

Keep it going, dreamingofmoney, and come here often so you stay inspired. How about drawing out a certain amount each week/month? Keep yourself reminded of what you'd like to see in your pot come November 5th, that should hopefully urge you on!

So scotmumof3, did DH toss your pancakes on Tuesday?! DH & I absolutely adore your Veg Noodle soup, but we halve the liquid and add broccoli and it becomes a delicious stir fry, and all thanks to you!!! :D

Your 3/4 full put sounds as though you've really been doing things right, Benten, keep that up and you'll be chuffed to bits at the end!! We're all doing just fine thanks and keeping the cash rolling in!

I was so happy to hear your latest news, Daddybear, it sounds as though things are financially looking up for you both, marvellous!!!! Here's hoping it's the 5 yr plan!

It's wonderful to hear you had such a good night's sleep, Helen, that does us all the power of good alone. All the best that the antibiotics and pain killers too will soon have you at about 100%!! Well done with the saving! :j

Thanks for popping in, Lost. Not much RK about these days, folk are becoming careful with their cash which is great for them, but....! ;)

    Great potting, Anna!

£10 in the pot after shopping yesterday...AND...5p  near the cash till!!!!! Into the RK pot that went a bit smart!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day, folks! :j Keep safe, healthy and saving hard!

    Sue x

She's fine Sue, and we made DS get rid of the bike as it was a kids one him and his mate decided to turn into one of those monkey bikes that have no brakes  he had been told numerous times to get rid of it as someone would get hurt . . . .

Had to grab hold of a lady in the street today (not literally but had to keep calling after her ) she was in front of me at the cash machine and her children were distracting her and she walked off leaving her money hanging out the machine  She was ever so pleased i'd stopped her and said I was very honest :o I didn't know how to reply, I just said to DH, I would have been so upset if I had done that and someone had pocketed it rather than stop me, I could never do that to someone, that could have been her weekly food money or anything!

Anyway, had £27.45 in cashback that I rounded up to £28 so I could get it out at the bank all in £2 coins :D and £6.40 back from DS's school after they reconciled the school trip payments :D:D

Where've you gone now, Ruth?! Get back ere and tell us how much you saved!!!

Sue I went to Wales for my birthday. We went zip-lining on Monday and climbed halfway up Snowdon on Tuesday, just for a look, before we do it for real later in the year. We also found a little church where they were serving pancakes for pancake day and befriended a robin. It was all wonderful! My lovely OH really spoilt me, something i have never experienced before, he really is the best!!
