I emptied my purse earlier and put a £2 coin into the tin and 27p into the big jar. Then when getting undressed, a 20p fell out my jeans pocket so that went in too :)

  • I hope everyone is ok.Hugs to those who need them x.

Earlier this week I potted £5.something,but have lost my note of the exact amount.Today I re-arranged my clothes (to make room for OH's clothes to move into same cupboard. Now we have turned the front room into our bedroom-to allow eldest kids their own rooms-we do not have proper storage.OH's clothes have been in plastic boxes since Christmas!)While re-arranging,I rummaged through my own jeans pockets, and found £23.48 ,including a £10 and £5 note. All potted.

I like spending cash instead of using my debit card.
That's one of my problems with potting. I am now in the habit of using my credit card for everything I can because I get cashback on all my purchases and keep the cash in an account which pays interest :money: That's why I started putting £7 in every Friday plus any roadkill and other odd bits, so at least something is going in to cover each day.

DH has had some change - small bits - lying on the side table for ages and today I asked if he wanted it (I said I was fed-up moving it to dust) and he said 'Not particularly'. So you can guess where that went in a flash, didn't want to stop to count it in case he changed his mind and I reckon it was about 80p :D

Hope you all have a money-potting Monday

  • I forgot to mention that as I was walking home from work the other day,I lost 2 £10 notes I had just been paid icon_sad.gif.They were folded together and the bundle just worked its way out of my jeans as I was walking.By the time I realised (about 15 minutes walking),I retraced my steps, but it was too late.I was soooo upset. It really did ruin my afternoon.Phoned OH in tears......

I tried to remind myself of all the roadkill that I have found since I started keeping track, including £5 and £10 notes. Not sure if that made me feel better or worse.......Hopefully someone who really needed it found it.

I am here, just been a bit of a 'life getting in the way' time.

So sorry about your money saver upper :(

Spent last night up A&E with DD who decided to ride her brothers bike and made a right mess of her 4th and little fingers, plus her nose etc where she face planted the pavement, knocking out a tooth in the process ) 4 hours after it happened she was still saying her finger hurt (on and off) we had tried ice packs etc so off we toddle with me feeling bad for wasting the A&E time, there till midnight and it turns out she's broken her hand :o. Bless her, you wouldn't have thought so as she made so little fuss and and was swinging her hand round, shouldering her brother  this high pain threshold seems to be a family trait! Took 3 days to realise when my niece broke her arm and when DS broke right across the bottom of the shoulder socket he managed to get his jumper and shirt off without a murmur

She's got a temporary cast on and is still fast asleep in bed, hopefully the swelling on her face will have gone down a bit but she gave herself a wicked thick lip :( on the upside, the tooth fairy came for that tooth she knocked out, thankfully it was a baby tooth!

I have been chucking change in the pot but no idea what has gone in, I'm sure I've got 5p roadkill in my handbag too from a few days ago found by the car park pay station

Aww jakes-mum she has been in the wars, hope she's on the mend soon.
And saver-upper sorry about your £20 that really sucks :(

Have potted 3 x £2 coins after a lovely weekend away with OH doing a bit of walking and chilling. Looks like we might have sorted out carers for his mum and might get away a bit more often this year - but not counting on it!
